For those of us familiar with yoga or the concept Mantras then you'll understand what we mean. If our thoughts and words that we say to ourselves are "my stomach is always upset" or "I'm going on holidays and I KNOW I'm going to have issues using the loo" or "no matter what I try my gut is always bad," then that's how it will respond. So if we Change... Our Tune to words like, "My bowels are Well or I am Well or I Have Happy Bowels or my personal favourite, My bowels Move with Ease," then we are changing the frequency of our cells our minds our energy and our bodies. 23.01.2022 I loved this part of the Crystal Castle near Byron Bay. I've always loved tree lined paths and tunnels. These huge bamboo shoots were amazing to walk among, peaceful yet powerful. Even a weed like Bamboo can provide so much for us and for our earth. Tis the season for spending and buying too many gifts. Please take a moment to do a simple google search for "sustainable gift ideas" and buy wisely this year - all year - and every year. If we each made just a few simple changes to how we live, the earth and all those that breath amongst it will thank us.

22.01.2022 Easter falling in Autumn has always been strange for me. Easter in the rest of the world falls in Spring, a time of renewal and rebirth, which kind of goes with the whole Easter thing, I think? (I'm not religious as you can see). But Autumn, has always been my favourite time of year no matter which hemisphere I've lived on. The Autumn air is crisp and clean, like the mornings we've had recently, the colours of the changing leaves always l...eaves me staring up at the trees a little longer. Symbolically Autumn is a time of letting go, like the trees shedding their colourful leaves. This season is prime time for seeking comfort in the midst of dropping temperatures, think extra cups of hot tea or chai. It is also the time to build on our immune system through habits and nutrition. Maybe it's the time of year that we finally let go of a particular habit we've been trying to stop? As we build our immunity through nutrition think about warming foods packed with vitamins and minerals and keeping our insides clean - remember 60-70% of our Immune System lies in our gut. Does your toilet bowl look like a nugget factory? or perhaps every time you "go" youre left feeling like you have more to give.... All of the above are signs you are experiencing some form of constipation and its not okay. I treat A LOT of gut issues and constipation is something that is often missed until it gets really bad or blatantly obvious. The top 6 causes of constipation that I see are: SIBO - small intestinal bacterial overgrowth Lack of water Lack of fibre (or too much fibre WITHOUT the water to match. When you increase fibre you MUST increase water or youll end up with more of a clogged pipe) Pelvic floor issues (see a pelvic floor physio for assessment) Not pooping in the right position (knees higher than your hips, friends) Not making TIME to poo or consistently holding it in. 12.01.2022 What kind of clients come in to Exhale? We get asked this ALL the time and the list is quite long. One client who we have recently seen is someone who no matter what they do just cant seem to not be bloated. And NO ONE wants to feel bloated all the time! After a few sessions with us and a few tweaks in, not only diet but lifestyle as well; what kind of exercise she was doing, sleep and we even threw a meditation in there as homework and she is feeling much better! 05.01.2022 Covid and hand sanitiser - never have we seen more hand sanitiser - EVERYWHERE! Yes of course we have all used it here and there but right now thanks to COVID we are using it way more than what it was designed for. On our skin lives good and bad bacteria and bacteria is what helps us build and strengthen our immune system and our gut microbes; remember most of our immune system is in our gut! So whilst yes please protect yourselves, but also please think about using good old fashioned soap and water above all else. We also love the Colloidal Silver hand sprays and sanitisers, its anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and natural, without all the chemicals found in over the counter hand sanitiser.

02.01.2022 It's noisy out there. There is a lot of stuff going on..that goes for all of us. We all have our things we are dealing with, personally, professionally, globally (understatement!)...and that goes for me too. I'd say the biggest "homework" assignment I give my clients is to get out into nature and take a walk - and most importantly with NO PHONE! Those of us who live near the clinic in Cronulla, we're pretty blessed to live in such a beautiful place, it's easy to go out for a simple walk along the coast, into our tree lined neighborhoods or out for a hike. Nature really is medicine and it works instantly to calm our nervous system and that's the first point of call for health.

02.01.2022 Hydration and Moisture are the signs of healthy skin. One of the many benefits of colonics is just that, Hydration!! Our skin and eyes look so clear after a few sessions. I can always tell when I am personally due for a colonic myself, the whites of my eyes aren't as white as they should be and my skin shows an extra laugh line or two - but hey, those laugh lines are a good thing!
