18.01.2022 Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and in accordance with Australian Government advice, our facilities are closed to public activity until further notice. Please check back here for updates and we look forward to welcoming you back to the AIS as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

15.01.2022 Whilst we are buoyed by the careful and gradual easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the ACT, the AIS is focussing it’s initial phase on returning high performance activity to the campus. We anticipate this period of high performance sport reactivation will last at least until late June. During this initial period of time, we don’t expect to re-open facilities to the public, but we will continue to plan for reopening when appropriate to do so. Please check back here for updates and we look forward to welcoming you back to the AIS as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

14.01.2022 We understand the value of the AIS campus to the community, particularly Canberra’s community, and we have every intention of resuming business as usual when we see it safe and appropriate. We are pleased to have resumed some public activity on campus, starting with the use of the outdoor fields and Track and Field Centre from Monday 6 July, re-opening the Fitness Centre from Monday 13 July and public swimming in the 25m pool resuming from Monday 20 July. While the campus has... been closed, we have taken the opportunity to progress some improvement works across the campus. So as restrictions continue to be eased, we may still require some limitations on public activities until these works are completed and in order to comply with ACT Public Health Directions. We are also constantly monitoring the evolving situation across the country, in particular the community transmission in Victoria and NSW. [updated 17/8/20]. As a result, AIS Tours will not resume until some time in 2021 [updated 17/8/20]. Group accommodation and school holiday programs may resume in 2021. Further information can be found at https://www.ais.gov.au/visit//feed/ais_news/covid-19-update. We thank you for your ongoing understanding.
