25.01.2022 Police have launched an air and ground search for Malcolm Bohmeyer after he went missing in Langwarrin yesterday. Malcolm left his home on Cranbourne Road to go for a bike ride about 1.30pm on 12 August. He usually rides his black mountain bike near the Cranbourne Road Peninsula Link bike path but has not been seen since.... Police on off-road motorbikes, the Air Wing, Mounted Branch and local uniform members are today being supported by the State Emergency Services in searching for Malcolm in Langwarrin and surrounding reserve areas. 25.01.2022 Missing Persons Squad detectives are continuing to appeal for public assistance in relation to the disappearance of Safety Beach man, Jacob Horton. Jacob was last seen leaving a property in Drum Close, Frankston on Thursday 27 June, 2019. Police are now treating the 28-year-old’s disappearance as suspicious.... 25.01.2022 Assistant Commissioner for Southern Metro Region Russell Barrett (far right) was out and about on the beaches recently as part of Operation Summersafe. It was a busy day for Assistant Commissioner Barrett, who, among visiting the beaches around the bay, helped locate a missing child reported at Chelsea beach. It was also excellent to see the vast majority of people enjoying the good weather and adhering to Chief Health Officer directions. As the mercury rises, you should expect to see Victoria Police patrolling all the places you love to enjoy sun, sand and socialising as part of Operation Summersafe. 22.01.2022 Last night we arrested a 44-yo man and 65-yo woman soon after a violent aggravated burglary in Seaford. Its alleged the pair attended the Duncan Ave address, forced entry and assaulted a man with a weapon in the presence of his partner and children. Police responded swiftly and located a man and a woman in a vehicle nearby and arrested them without incident.



20.01.2022 The Croydon man will now be interviewed in relation to an incident in Frankston where an allegedly stolen vehicle was spotted by police on Foot Street, Frankston about 12.30am on 28 August. Police later located the car at a residence on Oxford Street, Frankston where its alleged a quantity of drugs, a firearm and ammunition were located.

20.01.2022 This month, officers from Southern Metro Region Multicultural Liaison Unit collaborated with the Victorian Fisheries to promote safety and compliance while collecting shellfish in Port Philip Bay. The group chatted with passers-by on the topics fisheries and community safety and distributed multilingual information. They were also approached by a wedding party who asked to include the police in their wedding photo montage. Of course our officers couldn’t say not. 20.01.2022 IDENTITY SOUGHT - ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY. At approximately 4.53 pm on 07/09/2020 two offenders entered Weatherstone Reserve from Erwin Drive and sat on a bench seat within the childrens play area. At approx. 5.00 p.m. victim was walking along the footpath in Weatherston Reserve between Johnstone Street and Erwin Drive, Seaford. ... The victim became aware the two offenders had commenced following him and looped around Erwin Drive re-entering Weatherston Reserve. The two offenders caught up with the victim where one of them produced a small knife and made demands for money. After being told by the victim he had no money, the offender armed with the knife told the victim not to tell anyone before both offenders walked off through the reserve towards Seaford Road. The first offender is described as male, Caucasian, aged between 15-17 years, approximately 6ft tall, medium build, wearing a black hoodie with a pattern on the chest, dark coloured knee length shorts, black and white runners. He was armed with a steak type knife. The second offender is described as male, Caucasian, aged between 15-17 years, approximately 59" to 511" tall, medium build, dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt, white and black checked type shorts, black runners. 08.01.2022 MONKEY BIKE IMPOUNDED IN FRANKSTON NORTH LAST SUNDAY - RECOGNISE IT? At approximately 12:30pm last Sunday the 8th of November Frankston Police members were patrolling in The Pines when they observed 2 x monkey bikes travelling west on Rosemary Cr. One rider turned into the parkland of Ribbon Ct, and the other rode up onto the footpath in an attempt to evade police. That rider then dropped the bike and fled on foot. The bike was then impounded (release fee $1038) because it is... classified as a "miniaturised motor cycle" and it was ridden on a road or road related area in contravention of Section 65C(1) of the Road Safety Act 1986. The owner of this bike may be liable for that offence unless it was stolen or hired, or was ridden without the knowledge or consent of the owner. 06.01.2022 We know people would normally like to travel out of Melbourne to popular destinations such as the Mornington Peninsula as the weather warms up and school holidays approach. In an effort to deter and detect any breaches of the Chief Health Officers directions, police will have a highly visible presence in the Mornington Peninsula community, including at vehicle checkpoints on major arterial roads, mobile vehicle checkpoints and ongoing proactive patrols as part of Operation S...entinel. Anyone pulled over at a vehicle checkpoint can expect to have their licence and work permit checked by police and their residential address confirmed. Police will also be proactively patrolling popular locations such as beaches, parks and other areas where people are expected to visit to ensure that everyone is adhering to the current Stage 4 restrictions. This includes ensuring only Mornington Peninsula residents or others travelling with a permitted purpose are found to be in the area. Anyone who lives in the Mornington Peninsula area and is travelling for a permitted purpose should expect to see some delays while the vehicle checkpoints are in place. 04.01.2022 A 28-year-old Seaford man was charged with home invasion, aggravated burglary, drug trafficking, theft, possessing the proceeds of crime and several other offences. A 30-year-old Seaford man was also charged with home invasion, aggravated burglary and theft. In Sommerville, police found an imitation assault rifle and arrested a 28-year-old man. He has been charged with possess imitation firearm, theft, handling stolen goods and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
