23.01.2022 ANOTHER FIRST DATE SHOCKER Note to self when organising a first date, don’t pick your potential girlfriend up in a stolen car. And make sure you are old enough to drive. Members of the Frontline Tactical Unit arrested two 17-year-olds in an allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Lancer on Hallam North Road in Narre Warren North around 3am this morning.... The male was charged with theft of motor vehicle and unlicensed driving and bailed to a children’s court at a later date. His female passenger was given a caution. #OpRoadwise #firstdateshocker



23.01.2022 Moorabbin Highway Patrol members detected a vehicle travelling at an alleged speed of 127km/h in a 80km/h zone this morning along Westall Road, Springvale. The vehicle was intercepted a short time later. The male driver allegedly returned a positive Preliminary Breath Test and was conveyed to the Moorabbin Police Station where he produced an Evidentiary Breath Test reading of 0.120. The male’s licence was immediately suspended and he received fines in excess of $1500. He wil...l not be able to drive for the next 12 months. At least he still has time to ask Santa for a Myki card. The combination of speed and alcohol could have had a very different outcome. Please do not drink and drive - especially during this festive season.

22.01.2022 100KM/H OVER THE LIMIT A vehicle clocked at 100km/h over the speed limit was one of four impounded overnight. POLAIR observed the white Mitsubishi Evo drag racing with another vehicle on the Princes Highway in Clayton around 1:20am.... It was detected travelling at an alleged speed of 180km/h in an 80km/h zone. The vehicle was described to local members patrolling the area as part of Operation Sumatra and was quickly located and intercepted in Springvale. The 26-year-old driver said goodbye to his Evolution for 30 days at a cost of $878 and was advised to expect a summons to attend court at a later date. 16.01.2022 86KMH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT Early this morning the Greater Dandenong Highway patrol detected a vehicle travelling at 166KMH in an 80KMH zone. Sometimes it pays not to be the fastest one in a drag race. It also pays not to drag race at all, especially when we are there and have our laser pointed directly at you!... Another first date unfortunately not with a new partner, but a magistrate this time. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days costing $1038. The driver will be charged for being 86KMH over the posted speed limit and driving at a dangerous speed. The pair in vehicle ended the night with an unplanned walk home.

15.01.2022 CLOSE CALL LEADS TO IMPOUND Officers from the Frontline Tactical Unit were out patrolling on Wednesday night when they came across an illegal hoon gathering on Remington Drive in Dandenong South. There were over fifty cars conducting burn outs, drifting and other dangerous driving in the heavy rain. As police got close to the cars they started to scatter almost hitting the police vehicle. ... Police were able to identify the registration of a silver coloured Holden Commodore that conducted a burnout and failed to stop when directed. Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle a short time later where the male driver had his vehicle impounded at a cost of $938 and he will receive a summons to attend court and explain his actions to a Magistrate.

14.01.2022 MORNING DRINK-DRIVER A 62-year-old woman was caught drink driving in Cranbourne West while most were still enjoying their morning coffee. The driver was stopped at a preliminary testing site on Frankston-Cranbourne Road around 9:40am and recorded a breath alcohol reading of 0.178.... Her licence was immediately suspended and her car impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1038. She will also have to explain her actions to a Magistrate at a later date. 09.01.2022 Bad Friday for some... Yesterday afternoon Cardinia Highway Patrol were patrolling as part of #OpNexus for the Easter long weekend. At 2:50 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a BMW on the Princes Freeway, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 21 year old male from Cranbourne. Enquiries revealed the driver was a Learner who had a suspended learners permit due to demerit points. The driver also did not have a supervising driver with him. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $...1280 and will be required to go to court. ***************************************************************** At 5:30 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a Holden Statesman on Lyle Blue Court, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 34 year old male from Pakenham. Enquiries revealed the male's licence was subject to an Alcohol Interlock condition. A search of the vehicle revealed it was not fitted with an Alcohol Interlock device. The driver also underwent a roadside drug test returning a positive result to Methylamphetamine. The vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $895 and the driver will be required to go to court. ***************************************************************** At 6:30 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a BMW X5 on Lyle Blue Court, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 48 year old male from Pakenham. The driver underwent a roadside drug test returning a positive result to Methylamphetamine. 08.01.2022 DRUGS AND AMMO SEIZED Police arrested a 34-year-old man and seized a significant amount of drugs as part of a firearms investigation. Members from the Divisional Response Unit executed two search warrants at Vivien Street in Dandenong and Heatherton Road in Endeavour Hills just before 6am on Wednesday.... Officers seized illicit drugs, believed to be MDMA and cocaine, and firearms ammunition. A Dandenong man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to the Springvale Police Station for interview. He was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and firearms offences and was remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong Magistrates Court.

08.01.2022 In total, over 500 cannabis plants, a large quantity of dried cannabis and cash was seized. The value of the seizure is estimated to be $1.5 million dollars. The arrests form part of an ongoing operation to disrupt a major organised drug syndicate cultivating and trafficking cannabis.
