20.01.2022 Community Assistance !! Theft has occurred on the 9th February 2021 a female aged between 30-40, approximately 165-168cm tall, medium build, with dark hair wearing a black hooded jumper with pink writing across the front and back of the jumper, has attended the Stawell Post Office. Police wish to speak to the female pictured as it is believed she may be able to assist with this investigation. 13.01.2022 Public Assistance Needed!! Between 4.30pm on the 22nd of march and 2.30pm on the 23rd march a car believed to be a possibly white or light coloured, older model Hyundai Sonata was left and set alight in the vicinity of Jacksons Rd and Sewerage Farm Rd in Ararat. Police believe this vehicle may have been involved in an incident on the 22nd march and are seeking information regarding the persons on board. Police are seeking witnesses who may have observed this vehicle around the Ararat, Great Western or Stawell areas during this time potentially driving in an erratic manner. Any information to F/C BARCZYNSKI of the Ararat Police Station 5355 1500 and quote the incident number 210101770 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Between 5pm Friday 19th March 2021 & 8:30am Sunday 21th March 2021, a red Australian Post box on Wimmera Street, Stawell, just outside the Australian Post Office has been set alight from the inside. The trio are highly trained and have demonstrated their skills by coordinating high angle rope rescues to locate lost hikers and injured climbers. Additionally, recent appointments have seen the Kaniva, Edenhope, Nhill and Dimboola 16-hour remote police stations all now simultaneously staffed by women.... 10.01.2022 Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious bush fire in Dobie on Sunday. The fire started on the Red Gum Track about 4pm and burnt approximately one hectare of bushland, including trees of significant cultural value. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Langi Ghiran Picnic Ground Road, within the Langi Ghiran State Park. ... Investigators are requesting anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour, or might have dash cam footage in the area, to come forward.
