24.01.2022 MEET OUR STAFF Hey I’m Brooke, I am a staff member at F45 Toowoomba Central and have been for around 6 months. At the beginning of the year I struggled a lot with excess weight gain, putting on approximately 10kgs in 3 months, until Josh stepped in and helped me understand the body, and lead me to my passion and love of fitness. What I bring in addition to the TC community is not only an understanding of anatomy and hormonal changes in the body, but a first hand experi...ence that you can eat healthy and train everyday, yet still, hormones will play a very very big role in the human body, and when adjusted correctly, you WILL see results! I’m now down 8kgs Here’s a bit about me FAVOURITE CLASS: MKATS is a killer FAVOURITE EXERCISE: Squats LEAST FAVOURITE EXERCISE: Pull-ups FAVOURITE MUSIC STYLE: Country! FAVOURIT FOOD: Rice paper with raw mushrooms FAVOURITE CHEAT MEAL: All of the pasta SPARE TIME GO TO: Binge watch a tv show FUN FACT: I used to be a cheerleader who could do a standing back tuck Also Josh is my brother in law @ F45 Training Toowoomba Central See more

22.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Sledge Hammer Lunges: Sometimes if your looking to challenge yourself, try to build off already well rounded movements instead of looking for new exercises. Take this jump lunge for example which already incorporates a heavy lower body load and great all rounded recruitment of the legs muscles. Simply by adding in a sledgehammer with a rotation we are now incorporating rotational core work and higher load upon our stabilising muscles with a constant m...oving force on the body of the hammer. To be simply put: more bang for your buck. Key points: Tall upper body posture Nice low knee travel Hammer travel over the front positioned leg See more

19.01.2022 Weekly Madness Challenge We all love burpees, right? So why not have a cheeky competition? Station 7 tomorrow, during Mkats, max burpees in the set wins a $50 gift voucher. Good luck TC Fam

19.01.2022 I don’t have time ! This in one of the biggest excuses I have heard over the years throughout the fitness industry. What it really means? You’re not prioritising your training! Or maybe you have a demotivating approach to your training because you believe you have to input these massive volume workout with 50 different exercises, 1000 reps and a 2 hour session to make it beneficial. What if I told you there were other ways of seeing amazing result in your fitness, withou...t having to climb Mount Everest every single session! Take this knee tuck-push up for example - by performing the move with quality movements over quantity, and incorporating 2 moments into 1 exercise we’ve made a more valuable use of our time in the gym. You are now utilising the benefits of a push up: strength development of your chest, shoulders and triceps whilst also incorporating our core, hip flexors and shoulder stability all in the same amount of time. Train smarter not harder. See more

19.01.2022 Movement of the day Clean and Press Single Arm: A great way to combine power and build your shoulder/over head stability imbalances. The clean allows you to work power through the legs and upper back whilst utilising core stability by performing single arm apposed to a barbell clean. The overhead press will allow you to work shoulder strength and stability by using one arm you can’t compensate through the other arm which overtime will balance both sides of your body for any overhead work push press, jerks etc.

16.01.2022 MEET OUR MEMBERS Name: Grace Craymer Occupation: Hairdresser at The Mixx How long have you been with TC: 2 and a half years (and loving it!) ... Favourite F45 Class: I love strength and resistance classes, I love seeing how my stamina is improving. Exercise you love: Bench Press as I feel that particular exercise iv improved the most Exercise you hate: I love walking into a cardio session and not seeing the Rowing Machine out kills me every time! Best part of TC: The trainers, Joshes epic playlists and smashing my partners points each session Fun fact about you: well not really about me but I think it’s pretty cool that my brother was Russell the Kangaroo from the Hooley Dooleys... legit! See more

15.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Sled push Sled pushes are a great way to compound load the legs whilst also remaining very simple to ensure you’re keeping good form. This makes the exercise a great tool for beginners to be able to really increase power and strength through the legs without risk of injury. Once more advanced - they can then safely add more load onto the legs with an additional squat or deadlift. You will also be working individual sides of the body through the move...ment which will help correct imbalance in strength and stability! Please don’t overlook this movement, it has great benefit even if your a huge, muscly, advanced trainer like myself . Key points to remember when using a sled: stride with a high knee fully extend back through the legs to utilise all muscles through the lower body stay low and flat

08.01.2022 A congratulatory shout out to push up pocket rocket Chloe Rose Chloe joined the F45 Toowoomba Central team after the COVID restrictions lifted in June last year Chloe at the time was weighing in the high 60kg’s (78kg at her heaviest) and wanting to gain muscle, obtaining her thigh muscles back whilst at the same time losing weight and get down to 58kg ... Chloe trains with the 9am legends mixing it with the mums, shift workers, uni students and sleepy heads and if you have seen her during a class she is an absolute weapon getting fitter, faster and stronger every week So it’s to no surprise that Chloe has reached her goal seeing noticeable definition in her thighs and arms ANNNND losing over 10kg to currently sit at her goal weight of 58kg!! Key points: Keep torso and hips flat don’t allow internal or external rotation Keep as straight of a line between head and foot leaving the ground Keep a slight bend in the knee to create maximal involvement of the glute Keep the movement under as much control as possible(slow) See more

03.01.2022 Well... our weekly challenge kind of went out the window today when the TC fam decided to team up on us and FILL pretty much every session this morning, keeping our hands extra full! Although that means no one wins the $50 voucher this week, I’m sure no one is complaining considering how many offered to pay us $50 NOT to do the burpees Happy Tuesday and day 2 of challenge 29 team.

03.01.2022 Thanks for such an awesome Halloween celebration over the weekend team

01.01.2022 Although these guys didn’t take out the top prize for challenge 30 - they came so incredibly close we all agreed they both deserved a shout out and special prize.
