13.01.2022 **TECHNIQUE TUESDAY** When performing a push-up, where are your elbows? To perform a push-up correctly, think of your body as a large arrow shape. Your elbows should be tucked in at 45 degrees from your body.... Performing a push-up in the "T" position can put unnecessary strain on your shoulder soft tissue. Practice performing full depth push-ups with your elbows tucked (arrow position) on your knees before progressing to your feet. Last year we raised over $550,000 for the bushfire appeal Heroes Hollywood 2021 will take place on Saturday 30th January. ... All active members of F45 Lutwyche will be able bring a friend for FREE to our Hollywood classes on that day OR any lunch, afternoon/evening class until Friday February 5th. 02.01.2022 **TECHNIQUE TUESDAY** When performing an RDL (Romanian Deadlift), many people think that you need to lower the weights all the way to the floor. As you can see from the photo, if Angie lowers the bar to the floor, her lower back bends which may lead to injury. Instead, keep your back straight, only lower the bar as far as your hamstring length will allow (without your back bending). For most people this is approximately mid-shin. ... When in doubt, lower to just below your kneecaps and if your back is ever sore with this exercise, reduce the weight. See more
