25.01.2022 TYE TUESDAY | Through consumer consultation and collaboration, Fairfield Hospital has refurbished hospital signs to include Arabic, Vietnamese and Chinese languages alongside the English directions. While conducting leader rounds with patients and staff, Director of Corporate Services Suchit Handa learned that patients and visitors were finding the signs difficult to read. The solution were vibrant blue signs with the additional languages. Well done team!

23.01.2022 TYE TUESDAY | Meet our new Patient Experience Officers, Jessica (left) and Penelope (right). Their role will be helping patients in the Emergency Department waiting room by relaying questions to staff, helping families and carers find their way in the hospital and keep patients informed on what to expect in Emergency.

19.01.2022 SUSTAINABLE SERVICE | Fairfield Hospital has installed solar panels on its rooftop. Along with the replacement of 5000 fluorescent bulbs with energy efficient LED lights, the project will save the hospital 19 per cent on its power bill.

15.01.2022 GREENING FAIRFIELD | Volunteers have planted more than 1200 trees and native grasses on the hospital grounds. The new trees are Cumberland Plain Woodland species and will help reduce urban heat load in the area. A big thank you to Greater Sydney Landcare Network and Fairfield City Council for helping to make it happen.

02.01.2022 GRATEFUL HEARTS | Year 5 and 6 students from Marion Catholic Primary School have been learning about the COVID-19 pandemic and they wanted to show their appreciation for all the work we do, so they teamed up together to create over 1000 grateful hearts to give to each staff member at Fairfield Hospital to thank us for all the effort and hard work. A big thank you to Leonie Casha Family Educator at the school that delivered the box of hearts today!
