23.01.2022 I have officially made it the 2nd trimester. Yay! Whilst I’ve had a pretty good first 14 weeks in terms of having no real sickness, it’s been fascinating learning to share my body. One thing I have surprisingly found difficult is not drinking. I’m generally not a big drinker anyway but I do love the the odd cocktail or a glass of wine (or 2) with dinner here and there. It’s been fun seeing what alternatives I can try out.... MOCKTAILS have been great so far. Although they can be packed with sugar but it’s not like I’m having them every day (everything in moderation), but they generally also are just fruit juices I’ve noticed, so when I’m socialising I can still feel like I’m involved in the party. Would love to know if any of you drank or if you stuck to water throughout your pregnancy? Or did go down the mocktails route?

22.01.2022 I couldn’t resonate with this more than I do! ESPECIALLY when she talks about when people tell you to slow down or to stop exercising. It’s so interesting how when you become pregnant people feel like it’s an open invitation to tell you what to do or to talk about your body. Don’t get me wrong I’m loving flashing my (nonexistent) bump and getting a belly rub but some women might cringe at that thought. ... We need to take into consideration women’s personal space and feelings during an already challenging experience.

18.01.2022 Pretty proud of myself... can still pistol squat on both legs at 16 weeks pregnant! (A little wobbly... haha) It’s interesting learning what I can and can’t do now. I have learnt unaided pull ups are a thing of the past now. Even aided pull ups are hard now. Push ups and bench press are getting heavier and slower. I’m happy as long as I’m still moving though, as my goal is just stay as strong as I possibly can throughout these last few months, to help with any recovery I’ll need later on.

10.01.2022 So sorry I have been so quiet lately but I have been working on a personal project of mine for the last 3 months! My goal is to keep as fit and healthy as I possibly can during this time and possibly blog it for you all the whole way through. So far it has been very interesting watching how my body has been changing, preparing itself for motherhood. ... I also would love to hear your stories and journeys through pregnancy so in the mean time i'd love to hear from you!

05.01.2022 Today is race day. The day we’ve trained for all year. Pretty rainy today not much surf but lots of movement. Wish us luck!
