22.01.2022 TOMORROW TOGETHER: The City of Launceston is encouraging residents to help shape the future of the city as part of the Tomorrow Together community consultation ...initiative. The Tomorrow Together program was launched last year and has previously sought the communitys feedback on themes like resilience, accessibility, planning and economic activity. Until September, the Council is seeking input on a new consultation theme: A social, inclusive and fair city. Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten said the Council was eager to understand what role it could play in ensuring Launceston was a welcoming city to people from all backgrounds. "The Tomorrow Together program is about looking at the big picture issues and what role we can all play to make Launceston one of the worlds great regional cities," Mayor van Zetten said. "The feedback we receive as part of these consultation themes can help guide future decision making and give us a better idea of what our community prioritises. "As part of this theme, well be exploring topics like diversity, community safety, healthy lifestyles and how we can build better social connections. "Alternatively, were hosting some pop up consultation sessions as well, if youd prefer to talk to someone in person." The resource library is for our Family Day Care Educators to access quality resources to share and use within their family day care environment. We are selling copies of Brooke Davis beautiful nature activity books, Your Wild Imagination and Your Wild Child. Your Wild Child has not yet been released and we will be some of the first to receive this book.... Books are $35 each and can be ordered directly though calling Northern Childrens Network on 6341 1555 or contacting your Educator if you are enrolled with our service. 20% of sales will be donated to Family Day Care Tasmania. Books are due for delivery mid September.
