09.01.2022 Today the WA Government announced the introduction of a contact register for all of us commencing on December 5. FHWA will be one of the organisations who will be implementing these measures. The best and easiest way to comply with the new law will be to download and use the SafeWA app on your phone. However, if you do not have a phone that has this ability or if you do not wish to use the app we will provide an alternative method of collecting the information required. Please read the attached notice to understand what will be required. It is about keeping us all safe.

06.01.2022 Something very special took place for our very own Military Special Interest Group last Friday. Convenor, Angela Heymans, writes: "The Military Special Interest Group celebrated a significant milestone on Friday 26 March 2021 with a public demonstration of the Western Australian Military Digital Library website. The event was at the Army Museum of WA in Burt Street, Fremantle and invitees included representatives from key history, library and museum organisations. The websi...te is the culmination of four years of collaboration with the Army Museum archives. Personal military documents donated to the Army Museum over the years are being progressively digitised and uploaded to the WA Military Digital Library website. The new website can be viewed at www.wamdl.com.au. Have a look to see if your relative is included!" In attendance on the day were: Angela Heyman (Military SIG Convenor), Gwyn Williams, Richard Williams, Ben Williams, Susan Salvair, Helen Birch (Army Museum) , Sarah Robinson, Erica Boyne (WA Museum), Kylie Easton (WA Museum), Neil Bradley (FHWA Treasurer) and Chris Loudon.
