24.01.2022 We had a lovely day yesterday on a family drive up to the Barrington Tops. The kids have never touched snow before, so we all piled into the truck and left early in the morning for the three hour drive to the Barringtons. We didnt exactly know where we were going, but followed the signs and actually ended up at Gloucester Tops. It was so nice, just the four of us, in the truck going on an adventure. Hard to believe, but we have actually been home from our trip for six months now!!!! We had a great time throwing snow at each other, Rory and I even ate some nice white fluffy snow!

21.01.2022 Rest stop on the way to WA

14.01.2022 We recently spent a lovely few days visiting friends who live in the Blue Mountains. We met these friends while on our big adventure in 2014 near the WA/NT border at a free overnight camp. We ended up travelling with them on and off for quite a while and im so glad we remained in contact. It was our first visit to see them at their home, they have visited us a couple of times since in Lake Macquarie . Here are some photos from the weekend :-)

13.01.2022 2 years ago today, near Port Hedland WA. I cooked an amazing lasagne on this fire! I really miss a great campfire.

08.01.2022 Amazingly, this time last year we returned home from out trip! A year!!! We arrived at the real estate to get the keys to our house and then headed home to see how our home fared with our tenants whilst away. Thankfully the tenants were amazing and the house was spic-n-span. First thing i noticed was the garden, it was a lot thicker and some of the bushes had grown really high. The garage looked so big and i was so thrilled to have a flushed toilet and hot water shower r...eadily available LOL. We spent the rest of the day unpacking the van and still ended ups sleeping in the van as we didn't have time to put together any beds in the garage to sleep on. It was so wonderful to see our family and friends who came to see us after our big journey, i cried a bit seeing my Mum & Dad, it was the longest i had gone without seeing them - ever! Overall we ended up staying in the garage for 6 weeks while we decided what our plans were. In the end we moved upstairs and are still living here a year later. See more

05.01.2022 Wayne has built this amazing corkboard map of Australia (in our hallway) which we are covering with photos from our trip. It's so hard to limit the photos, so many to choose from. Will post again when completed.
