23.01.2022 CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS! We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing break with family and friends (enjoy the pudding!). Our lovely team is about to take a little break beginning Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Dr Gray is here tomorrow on Christmas Eve and then Dr Gray, Dr Lou and Luke our Acupuncturist will be here on the a few shifts before New Year (see image below). Merry Christmas!

18.01.2022 A great blog by the CAA on a topic that most of us feel pain from! Our phones seem to dominate a lot of our day, Australians spend 10 hours and 24 minutes on average engaging with their mobile devices every day. Wowzahs!! Here's a few tips from the blog (and some of ours) as to what you can change to lessen the strain.... ~ Change the way you hold your phone bring the screen to eye level so your head is not slouched forward. This way you don’t have to be in a forward-head posture for long periods of time. We even suggest tucking your elbows into you waist to rest them on, this hold your phone at a nice height, or if on the lounge prop up on a cushion! ~ Take regular breaks from mobile devices. For example, don’t check your phone while commuting. (Or in the toilet as we were discussing today!) ~ Get social with family or friends. Have a ‘no phone policy’ during dinner. You’ll enjoy your meal even more without the distraction! A phone jail is a great idea to 'lock them up' in for certain periods of the day. They are a modern day necessity but there are ways of not letting them rule our lives or injure our bodies!! Enjoy.

So today is my last day at Family Wellness Chiropractic and I couldn't leave without a post to say farewell to some of the most amazing staff and clients I have ever worked with. (And that's saying something because I've worked with some legends over the years!) Clients have become friends and these guys here at Family Wellness have become like family. I will miss you all very much and thank you so gratefully for sharing 'you' with me over the la...st 3 1/2 years. Cheers to you all, your health and wellness and your blissfully abundant lives. Given the tighter restrictions that have been implemented, I wanted to let you know we are still considered a Primary Allied Health Service required to be open by the Government to serve the community through chiropractic care and minimise pressure on the hospital system. As such I wanted to remind our wonderful clients that chiropractic adjustments help your nervous system to function better and... reduce the effects of stress on your body which can negatively impact your immune system. This is something that is vitality important to most of us not only now but as the situation at hand evolves over the coming weeks. I have also undertaken the Department of Health's Infection Control Training-COVID 19 so we are aware of maintaining high hygiene standards and minimising social contact when being treated. If our situation changes we will continue to inform you of ways that we may be able to maintain our service to you, whether by home visits or one on one consultations in the clinic. We are sad as we lose a fantastic individual who has been a great asset to our practice! However we are also very excited for Caitlin and Declan for their future ahead.
