17.01.2022 A Healthy Vending Alternative! I wanted to share this draft of a proposed vending area at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital. The 'Fruitbar' and the 'Banana Bar' have been operating in the food court/atrium for some time. This time we've taken the healthy vending concept a bit further by theming an area under the 'City Pantry' brand. In addition to the 3 healthy vending options, we've included preparation areas (with microwaves). This is the brainchild of Fresh Partners and ...Mackays Produce with Fang Design providing the graphic design. Maybe I can't get enough of VJ boards (I'm currently painting our 100yr old house!). Anyway the aim is to create the look and feel of a country home's pantry, with the implications of freshness, home style food etc. Added bonus: I get to create an enamel/tin sign. (I love the advertising/signage of that era). I've also included a pic of a page of logo variations that illustrates the process we go through to get to the final design. If you know of an organisation or business that may be interested in siting one of the units, touch base with us at www.fruitbar.com.au and keep an eye out for the 'City Pantry' to take shape at the RBWH. 03.01.2022 Kathleen from Harcourts Inner West has kindly allowed me to showcase these DL flyers we designed. Nice example of a 'suite' of material...similar but different messages/content. Great photography doesn't hurt either. Great creative from the awesome Netto. :) Cheers Kathleen

01.01.2022 Little known Rock Fact #1. Whilst holidaying in the UK, Musician Steven Greenberg of 'Lips inc' overheard an elderly lady instructing a taxi driver to 'take me to Funky Town'. Intrigued, Steven followed the taxi some miles till it arrived at this little station near the end of the Derbyshire line. Sure enough 'Funky Town' (pronounced funkerton) is indeed a small hamlet of about 250 population. Research carried out showed land titles owned by a J.Browne, B.Collins and an R.James. Stephen then penned the hit tune 'Wont you take me to Funky Town' as a tribute to this interesting event.
