10.01.2022 The yarding at Gracemere was similar to last weeks, with a total of 2141 head; comprising of 813 Steers, 909 Heifers, 389 Cows, 23 Bulls, and 7 Cow & Calf units. Quality and condition was mixed throughout the day in the yarding, drawn from the normal catchment around of Central Queensland between Bowen and Gin Gin and west to Moura. Buyers comprised the normal group along with an extra processor and several new faces in the restocker paddock. A little moisture in some areas has helped change buyer attitudes. Values improved for most classes through the day.

RLX, who operate the CQLX Saleyards, are taking all precautions to maintain a safe environment for all sectors of the industry involved with its weekly Wednesday Store Sale. 05.01.2022 The Gracemere Combined Agents presented 3137 head at CQLX; comprising of 1738 Steers, 1144 Heifers, 227 Cows, 10 Bulls, and 18 Cow & Calf units. Cattle came mostly from local areas and south to Theodore, west to Emerald and Comet and north around Nebo and Collinsville. The highlight of the sale included several large lines of quality feeder steers, which were met by strong demand. Plainer cattle across all catergories was reflected throughout the market.

05.01.2022 Combined Agents of CQLX Gracemere presented a rain reduced yarding of 1,033 head, consisting of 373 steers, 568 heifers, 61 cows, 19 bulls and 12 cows & calves. Competition was once again strong across all descriptions of cattle. Cattle were drawn from Mackay, Nebo, Biloela, Miriam Vale and local areas.
