24.01.2022 Its game day! Season final at Ballina. 2pm at Cumbalum Soccer Fields. Dust the Moustaches off and get amongst it.

24.01.2022 Even with only Adrian and I joining the Movember team, we have managed to raise $95 in the first day. More members means more money raised and more awareness. Join the team and get involved.

21.01.2022 Game day at lismore today. Hope all clubs have a great day.

21.01.2022 The Evans Head Golden Oldies (Sperm Whales) are proud to announce that our Annual Carnival will go ahead as planned on the 10th October 2020 at Stan Payne ...Oval, Evans Head. Kick Off is 2pm. This event has been supported (with great football and commeraderie ) by many of our affiliated clubs in the past and we wish to continue that tradition this year, however, there are some important points that we need to bring to your attention. We, as a Sporting Club are adhering to the latest Covid-19 Safety practices, so as to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the participants and supporters of our Helicopter Fundraising Rugby Carnival. Most of you by now are familiar with the practices and can appreciate how important it is to continue abiding by the following restrictions. * Crowd numbers strictly capped at 500. * All players and supporters to sign in (name and contact number) at the East end of the Clubhouse entry point. * Follow signage and hand sanitising requirements. * Practice social distancing. * We encourage you to wear a mask. * Changeroom facilities will not be available. * Please do not attend if you are showing symptoms.eg. sore throat, temperature and dry cough. * Please do not attend if you have visited Victoria in the last 4 weeks. Entry per player on the day is $30 with raffles, auction and fun, the order of the day. Be respectful of others (including referees) No pass outs will be issued and alcohol is not to come in from outside. The Evans Head Bowlo will be welcoming of the Golden Oldies, post event for those wanting to stay. Our Covid Plan will follow. Many thanks for your co-operation and understanding. Daniel Gillett Vice President Evans Head Sperm Whales

21.01.2022 With the final game of 2020 upon us, Ballina have elected to have Movember be both the theme, and beneficiary of the day. Adrian and I have decided to set up a Movember team. This is open to all members of our zone to sign up, join the team, and get on board with fund-raising for this amazing cause. The concept is simple. Sign up, grow a Mo, raise a few dollars, and start the discussion around mens mental health. We would love to see all of our clubs on board.

17.01.2022 The Evans Head Sperm Whales are proud to share with our supporters, the amazing outcome of our 2020 Westpac Rescue Helicopter Day. With the efforts of our club ...members and the support of our fellow clubs on the day, we were able to make a donation of $6000. This donation is significantly above what was raised on the day, however it was decided that after seeing the helicopter in action recently, our club was in a position to do a little extra to help. Our members were in attendance of the FNC Rugby Union women's grand final at Ballina, where an Evans River Rugby player, Daisy (pictured), was airlifted with a suspected spinal injury. While Daisy has recovered well, it was an eye opener of the importance that the Helicopter carries in our local community. Thank you to all of the clubs who attended our day. Without you all, this donation would not be possible. Cheers Dan See more

15.01.2022 A FNC Barbarians team welcomed the newly formed Byron Bay Sand Crabs Golden Oldies team with a lesson in rugby etiquette. The game was played in great spirit w...ith the ball being thrown around with reckless abandon , with some excellent tries the end result. The Sand Crabs were very gracious hosts and we can’t wait to see them again. Thanks again Sand Crabs See more

07.01.2022 Evans Head Sperm Whales will once again be hosting our annual Westpac Rescue Helicopter Charity Day on Saturday October 10th. Unfortunately due to restrictions ...this year, players will be limited to those from within our zone, being from Grafton in the south to Casuarina in the north and west to Casino. This will be our regular mini-fest format, starting at 2pm and strict covid rules will be in place. Teams are asked to give an estimate of attendees prior to game day to allow for catering, and are asked to be at the ground no later than 1.30pm. See more
