22.01.2022 POST UPDATE Due to the unprecedented response to our PYO fruit post, we need to clarify that we do NOT have a commercial crop of apples and pears, so supply will be limited to 1 day only. We are opening our domestic fruit orchard for people to pick a bucket or 2 of fruit. The fruit availability will depend entirely on how many customers come on the day. Sadly we cannot guarantee supply of the fruit but there is always ice-cream and wine if the fruit has been picked.... PYO FRUIT DAY There are no fresh cherries, but if you like the idea of picking your own fruit, fresh from the trees, then why not come to Fleurieu Cherries this Sunday 15th March between 10 and 4. Where you may pick apples, pears, quinces or plums straight off the tree for $10 per mixed bucketful. (approx $2 / kg) Jonathon, Golden Delicious, Prima and Mutsu Apples. Nashi, Packam and Yali Pears Sugar Plums Quinces The cherry ice-cream will be for sale on the day as well as bags of frozen, pitted cherries. We still have some fruit for sale but cannot guarantee how long that will take to sell. We will remain open for sales of fresh cherries, Icecream and wine until stocks of cherries are gone. We have decided to waive the normal $5 entry fee, but request a gold coin entry donation which will be wholly donated to the local and hills CFS! You’ll have access to roam the whole orchard in search for cherries and hidden random prizes. All cherries (sweet and sour) picked in the orchard are still $14 / kg. Part proceeds of the sausages sold will also be donated to the local CFS. ...Cherry supplies are limited but there are still enough if you look.
