21.01.2022 Our incredible producer Nats of Rub a Dub is working her magic and producing batches of her beautiful, natural healing balms to aid the recovery of injured Australian wildlife affected by bushfires around the country. The first batch of balms have been delivered right into the hands of the Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Hospital and Parndana Wildlife Park on Kangaroo Island. She is handmaking more for VIC and NSW groups to be sent out this week. The raw ingredients have been donated by generous producers and businesses and it is all being handmade and coordinated by Nats of Rub a Dub, a generous donation of her time and skills, all while she manages her farm, business and family. 09.01.2022 Rebuilding after the fires Many Australians have been touched by the devastating effects of the recent bushfires the impact has spread far and wide. A number of our Farmhouse producers have been affected by personal loss, property damage and also interruptions in the supply chain making it difficult to continue production at present. Volunteer Firefighter Shane Leahy, of Kangaroo Island Fresh Garlic, is one in our community who has lost a great deal. While he fought with ...the CFS his own home burned to the ground. Incredibly, his garlic crop and product store had been missed by the fires along with his two dogs and seven puppies. While Shane is planning to rebuild his home he continues to run his business and send out some of the best garlic products you can get, all made from his garlic grown on Kangaroo Island.
