21.01.2022 Recently bumping into controversial wine critic, Reg Adamson and Iaan Hewitsome we had to ask... favourite Victorian wine? Reg, never to pass up the chance to be obnoxious simply coughed: "Look it up on Vivino you annoying git" So we did and this is what we found: https://www.vivino.com/walkerville-pinot-noir/w/3609083... Thanks Reggie, another tick for the 2015 Pinot that has the body of a Shiraz yet the weight of a feather. The Mohammed Ali of Pinots takes another title.

20.01.2022 South Gippsland has one of the highest volunteer participant levels in Victoria. The value to Victorias economy of volunteering state wide is around $5 billion dollars worth of time and service value. The significant proportion of volunteers are the 45 plus age group, so maybe time to stretch this to include some of the younger tech savvy age groups, with unemployed youth a key group of interest. Getting a job is a job, so this is a great technique to create some meaningful relationships for job seekers and a way to remain engaged in the community.

11.01.2022 Sth Gippsland has been seen as a champion of events and community togetherness these last few years - sometimes, whilst we jostle and express our opinions through robust and yes reasonable debate, we can forget that the Shire deserves praise for the passion, diversity and dare I say heart beating truly and heard strongly over and above the what might be seen as pettiness. Theres a name for that and its called soul.

07.01.2022 Great place to spend a Winters morning tea or lunch. The platters are inexpensive and the eatery almost falls into the production plant on one side and the farm on the other side. Authentic people and delicious organic cheeses.
