23.01.2022 Ensure you think twice before taking advice to stick anything in your orifices. Perhaps turn to science? We're developing a free, practical, general health information series based on just that. Practical, evidence based information for people who have real jobs! Follow farmout page on facebook or LinkedIN to get smarter. We'll be starting soon!... https://www.theguardian.com//gwyneth-paltrow-wellness-indu

21.01.2022 I've been living by this the last few years. I am optimistic about being able to maintain exercise levels as very easy to count (and complete without them seeming too onerous) 15 min blocks of exercise - fast walk, yoga in the lounge room, bike ride - nothing too fancy even.

20.01.2022 Must be gut wrenching to have been involved in this study. We spend our lives involved in medical science research and its dissemination to improve quality of life. There are still times when the best laid plans go terribly wrong. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-44942302

19.01.2022 Sadly, this won't help the badly needed establishment of highly secure electronic medical records. Patients are the ones who suffer not having information easily shared between health services. Misuse/mismanagement of information collected by a private platform only makes the public more skeptical of services that could otherwise deliver great benefits. http://www.abc.net.au//healthengine-sharing-patien/9894114

19.01.2022 I understand the desire to explore alternate options where there is a lack of evidence or in the absence of established treatments. Please LOOK for evidence before making decisions and also keep in mind that many 'natural' treatments can have unwanted effects as well as the effects you are hoping for. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-50409431

16.01.2022 Well done to the Heart Foundation for this short summary of evidence around coconut oil. Don't get me wrong, I love a bit of coconut, but the fad we've been riding the wave on will do well to subside. https://www.heartfoundation.org.au//should-you-be-cooking-

14.01.2022 Very proud of the team for writing, directing, illustrating and animating this great little resource aimed at providing people living with schizophrenia a simple framework of options. The key, Shared Decision Making, encourages input from, and respect for, all parties. Most of our work is not public due to it's medical/confidential nature, so I savor every opportunity to share a little of what we love to do.... #mentalhealth #consumereducation #mifa #writing #psychiatry #medical #communication #publichealth #shareddecisionmaking #recovery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2znEAW_yCeo&t=10s

06.01.2022 Number of deaths attributed to prostate Ca in the UK have overtaken those attributed to breast Ca. No doubt due to the tremendous improvements in breast Ca treatment in the last two decades. I expect the research pendulum will now swing a little more to prostate Ca. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-42890405

05.01.2022 I love grains, fruits and starchy vegetables and never have got on board that whole paleo movement. Moderation can be considered an overused word in dietary circles, but here it is again seeming appropriate for how to consume carbohydrates. If you starve your body of this important macronutrient it may be at your long term peril, even if you may be more 'cut' in the short term. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-45195474
