23.01.2022 First lot of seed in the ground for the year yesterday. Was a mix of lucerne and Rhodes grass and will be cell grazed as a high production pasture. The silly season in finally in full swing with the tractor running well into the night even on a Sunday! Give us a call to see what results we can get for your paddocks.

22.01.2022 Do your paddocks seem to dry out quickly after rain? Do your paddocks struggle to get good cover? Then there’s a good chance your paddocks are struggling due to compaction. Many paddocks are badly effected by compaction to quite a depth resulting in poor water uptake during rain events. Over the last couple of years we have perfected the design of our purpose built subsoilers to be able to ‘contour rip’ to a depth of up to 500mm. Contour ripping slopes increases water uptake massively and reduces erosion. We pride ourselves on ripping to the required depth to properly bust compaction layers without inverting the soil structure. Deep ripping- do it once and do it properly!

21.01.2022 How about that for a paddock of Rhodes grass!! Our customer here did all the tillage work and we completed seeding and fertilising for them. This will be a hay paddock which is in the process of getting baled for the first time at the moment. It’s approximately 35 acres and estimating its going to yield around 300 round bales. These new varieties of Rhodes produce some super soft leafy feed.

18.01.2022 Plenty of spots available for slashing over the next few weeks as the grass starts to get a kick along. Now is a good time to slash down the dried off winter feed to allow fresh green shoots to take off. Call Ryan 0435070688
