18.01.2022 It's hard to see the farm like this when we know how lush, green and wonderfully productive it can be. All our cows, calves and heifers are now completely livi...ng off hay that we are carting from Victoria. It's an incredibly expensive way to feed them and doesn't provide enough protein or energy so that has to come from somewhere else. The milkers get theirs from canola meal and barley and everything else has high protein lick blocks. The next few months are going to be difficult but we continue on knowing that it won't last forever and that all we need is rain to turn the whole situation around. It will rain and the farm will be green and productive once more! See more
