The photo will be included in an article that aims to promote our game and its unique position of mothers and their children being able to play vigoro together. 13.01.2022 In Sport and Friendship Yesterday, 5 Fassi teams travelled to Ipswich to play pennant matches against our Sister Association. This year marked an extra special occasion, as Ipswich Vigoro celebrated their 90th Anniversary. Added to the usual pennant program, was an over 50’s match between the two clubs. This saw some absolute legends of our game return to the pitch for a hotly contested match. Results from the day... Fassi Under 14’s - win Fassi Under 18’s - win Fassi Veterans - win Fassi Seniors - loss Fassifern Ladies Vigoro introduced a new cup to be awarded to the overall champion association of the pennant match day. This cup, the Brooker Podlich Cup, is dedicated to two very special ladies, Heather Brooker and Pauline (Pod) Podlich, who we sadly lost this year. These ladies were our friends, teammates, opponents and coaches, and we miss them dearly....This year Fassi was the winner! Thanks Ipswich Vigoro Association for hosting us, and congratulations on 90 years of vigoro!

11.01.2022 Our 2019/2020 season came to a close yesterday, with our junior and senior grand finals being played. It certainly was the pink teams’ day, with congratulations going to the Funtastics senior and junior teams that took out both divisions. Second place in both divisions going to the Rebels junior and senior teams. True to Fassi spirit, both finals were played with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence. ... We sincerely thank Kathy, Kelly and Darren for umpiring the games. We also thank all those who came to support the teams in their quest for the 2019/2020 Premiership! See you all Saturday night to celebrate the season at our Presentation Night at the Fassifern Sports Club. Remember to get your raffle tickets in for your chance to win! Our Association's President, Jan and Secretary, Susan will be there to answer any questions you might have about the season. Teleigha Watkins- Learning new bowling techniques in trainings and integrating them into her Saturday game play Heath Podlich- Lots of talking and encouragement on the field.

06.01.2022 FASSIFERN SPORTS CLUB NEWS The Fassifern Sports Club is having a Camp Out at the Club on Friday (17 July) and Saturday night (18 July) this week. Everyone is welcome to call in to say hello or bring your tent and swag to stay the night THE CLUB NEEDS MONEY TO BE ABLE TO REOPEN . The Camp Out is happening to raise awareness of the Club’s position and appeal to the community for monetary assistance - all donations are appreciated, big or small.... If your donation falls into the following categories you will receive the gift in the right column (see below). Please consider donating to our Sports Club that was formed three years ago with the objective to help the Sporting Clubs in the Fassifern, including our Fassifern Ladies Vigoro Association.
