25.01.2022 Potential Return to normal Tennis Programming We are writing to update you on a potential return to normal programming. We understand that other clubs across t...he state are opening up, but the East Coburg, Tullamarine and Fawkner Tennis Club and the Coaches want to be absolutely sure we are adhering to the current guidelines and can provide a safe environment to resume. So please treat this message as a potential return and what it will look like if we do get the go ahead. Special Term Dates Nov 9 to Dec 20 We are looking at delivering a 6 week term (at a pro rata rate) from Nov 9 to Dec 20 Group Term fees are $165, but this short term they will be $99. We are looking at changing our timetable a little so that we can streamline our schedules and court bookings. Group Classes will remain at 45min, but will commence from 4pm weeknights with the following timetables below for the week for group classes). This will make scheduling a little easier for us. (When we get the go ahead we will email you a time to start from Nov 9. We do ask that if you are not returning, please let us know. This will be a messy process for us, but we need to start planning and preparing now) New Group Timings (for example, if you started at 415, you will now start at 4pm, 5pm will now be 445pm start. The next class will be 530pm and then 615pm. So some classes will remain the same.) 4pm, 445pm, 530pm and 615pm Monday to Friday 1115am and 12pm - Saturday 9am, 945am, 1030am, 1115am and 12pm Sunday Adult Social and Cardio Tennis Depending on when we get the green light with the council, our adult social / cardio classes will recommence immediately (with bookings essential). We have removed the loyalty app for the time being. Cost will remain at $15 cash, or $16.50 on card or bank transfer In House Adult Comps They commence on Monday Nov 2 and Tuesday Nov 3. We have one more place remaining on Tuesday in the Intermediate-Advanced League. Current 6 week Schedule This is finishing on Nov 11. Your current coach will discuss with you the current set up, and if you would like to continue for another 6 weeks, the times may need to change slightly, Staffing Covid has impacted us as a group and individually. Not all staff will be back, so we ask that you take into account this when we schedule staff and classes. We have currently taken on a new coach and will have a few colleagues assist from other clubs just as some of our staff will be assisting other clubs. Other Options Now that more people are working form home, we do have the opportunity to offer private classes during the morning on weekdays. Please consider these options too. Confirmation We will send out confirmation of the above as soon as we find out. Please only treat the above as information for now. Once we get the go ahead, you will be notified. However, we are still happy to accept presents. Just kidding. We are leaning towards no party this year unfortunately. 05.01.2022 Fawkner Tennis Club will be closed from 6pm tonight. We will reopen as soon as we are able to do so safely, and within the rules advised by the Victorian Government. FTC Tournaments will be back bigger and better in the spring with a new format!! Stay well, and we hope to be back together soon.
