24.01.2022 The look you get from ‘Nelson’ when the TAB goes down on VRC Stakes Day Flemington!

23.01.2022 The Stud Ewes and Stud Ewe Lambs, are as quiet as church mice. There’s normally always one or two that run off and spoil it for the rest. But this quality small flock is well behaved and showing outstanding traits aimed at the Fat Lamb market. Meat Sheep. Easy Care, No Shearing or Crutching, No Flies, Low Fat Melting Point, Fertile, Tough, can’t keep the visitors away from them. Everyone loves them when they set eyes on them. Wait until you eat it.

23.01.2022 Lot 52 Tattykeel Ewe 190334T has had twin ewe lambs to Tattykeel Ram 190770. That’s a good Start! Now waiting patiently for Lot 4 ET190171T to lamb down to 190095 also with twins.

23.01.2022 Now that COVID restrictions have eased in Victoria, everything and everyone seems to be moving a bit quicker than usual.

22.01.2022 The first Stud Lamb has arrived, with this horrible wet weather, we will find out how tough these buggers will be.

21.01.2022 The Ewes have settled in well and enjoying the clover pastures of Fish Creek. Ive heard people say Australian Whites are Mini Cattle, well they are in prime cattle country down here and will be set to perform with no excuses. We love the idea of a low maintenance, no shearing and juicy tender succulent meat breed of Lamb. #aussiewhites #australianwhitesheep #fishcreekfarm #fishcreekfarmspeckles #fishcreekfarmwoolroom

21.01.2022 After a 10 Hour round trip our Stud Aussie White ewes are looking forward to a well earned drink and feed. These Ardess Blood Ewes are outstanding and a great foundation for our flock. Rob and Toni Gilmore thanks for your support, and Deb at Banksia Australian White Sheep Stud. Looking forward to a bit of fun along the way, with a cracking Ram and Elite Stud Ewes.

20.01.2022 The maiden Stud Ewes on the clover paddocks with the Ram. Still a bit of smoke haze around.

20.01.2022 Seriously if these Australian Whites aren’t the best sheep in the world, I’ll go hee. I left the gates open to the yard, as I was poking them up there later on in the day. I get back from lunch and there they are waiting for me. Ps. They also had a shower by the looks of it before they turned up? #meatsheep #fishcreekfarm #MLA #AustralianWhites

20.01.2022 Happy securing this ewe to our flock.

18.01.2022 Has anyone got an old Shearing shed for sale? Or know of one? Please PM us for details. Thank you in advance.

17.01.2022 With the big wet upon us here at FCF, we put the lambing maiden stud ewes in a shed to stay dry and the lambs alive. We lost a couple of lambs that were twins unfortunately, but since shedding them we have had 2 sets of twins that are alive and well. The AWs have been as tough as anything I have seen, we were surprised the lambs born prior survived considering the conditions. #aussiewhites #fishcreekfarm #meatsheep

16.01.2022 Lambing in 3-4 inches of rain has its challenges, foxes running around as well, so far no casualties, the flock protection of these Australian Whites all sticking together in a Group is outstanding. Out of maidens ewes, easy lambing, tough as nails. Everything we hoped for and more.

16.01.2022 After mineralisation and Drenching 200 odd cattle over the last 2 days! ( horrendous weather) With a number of spillages I would think that Im immune to covid ...19. No bugs will survive what Ive been treated with. (Or even Hydrated with). When the worlds greatest f@&k up is over, remember the farmers that pushed on because there is no other option, than to feed and look after the animals or crops that feed the world! There is no job keeper or job seeker for farmers and employees, of whom I think are some of the greatest people on the planet, (soul of the earth) we push through, droughts, floods, fires, and all sorts of issues to provide food for you, that makes us the back bone of Australias economy. #welovefarming #proudtofarm #feedingaustralia #wecare #thankafarmerforyournextmeal #thankafarmer See more

14.01.2022 The lambs are enjoying their first day on pasture. Really looking forward to seeing them take off now.

14.01.2022 I dont think the maiden Stud ewes and lambs will ever want to leave the comfort of the shed! 6 week lock down doesnt apply here at FCF..

13.01.2022 A great result!

13.01.2022 Lambing has its ups and downs, losing a twin the other night was a downs, but today this magnificent little ewe lamb has bounced back with a little FCF TLC, after being told by the vet that it wouldnt survive the trip home unfortunately..... To say its an up of all proportions, this ewe lamb is in fine form after a few herbs and spices to bring her back. Australian Whites Lives Matter too.

12.01.2022 The maiden stud ewes and lambs have done a great job mowing the long grass in this paddock. The milk on these ewes is exceptional and the lambs are really benefiting from it. We had 150% lambing success with this group.

12.01.2022 Blue is keeping an eye on the pregnant ewes. They will be getting to know each other a lot more in the future...

12.01.2022 The Hillock Stud ewes are home. We are very happy with them. We believe they were the top 6 ewes in the draft for sale.

11.01.2022 Another zero degree night whilst lambing, but these little guys are tough as nails. Hopefully the hay will keep them warm. They have been bred for all conditions, structurally sound ewes, that can handle tough conditions. Wet, cold, hot, dry. These ewes are Ardess Blood. Couldnt be happier with them.

09.01.2022 These Aussie White lambs grow quickly, off to the pasture next week. Just waiting on a handful of ewes to lamb.

09.01.2022 Its exciting to see these maiden ewes lambs develop a rumen by starting to eat chaff and good quality hay at only a few weeks old. These ewes and lambs will be turned out onto pasture this week after marking and identification of parentage. Our maiden ewes have returned a 150% on the knocker lambing success rate.We at FCF Australia Whites are extremely happy with this result and hoping to improve this % with selective breeding and improved management strategies in the future. #aussiewhites #australianwhites #meatsheep #lamb #fishcreekfarm #cleanskinsheep #australianlamb

09.01.2022 The AW Stud ewes looking a treat and thriving in South Gippsland. With lambing to start shortly and a the best Autumn break in history, they should have a great start.

08.01.2022 ‘Nelly’ 171 with her twin Ram lambs that are doing excellent! She punched out a couple of handy lambs for a maiden ewe. Now it’s time to make a paddock full of outstanding breeding ewes like this one. Nelly 171 and 190095 the sire of these Ram Lambs.

06.01.2022 A Breeding objective describes characteristics that affects profit the most, as well as how important each trait is to profit. A breeding objective should be specific, measurable and attainable. Our philosophy is simple. ‘Buy the best, then breed them better!’ We have all heard that one. We don’t have a problem doing that, so our customers benefit for a profitable relationship. Australian White Sheep are the low cost, profit animals with unique characteristics that are second to none. (Below some our FCF owned foundation stud ewes)

04.01.2022 Tattykeel Sale Ewe Lot 4 ET190171T has lambed down to Tattykeel Ram 190095 with Ram Lamb twins. this powerhouse Ewe combined with 095 will be sure to create a couple of handy FCF stud rams for the future.

03.01.2022 The weaned stud Australian White Rams have a handy paddock to get stuck into. Raised on grass off their mothers, just like our cattle.

03.01.2022 Maiden stud ewes must be getting close to dropping lambs. Really looking forward to seeing some progeny from these Ardess Blood Ewes with a Banksia Ram. We are really happy with the style of animal selection so far. Coming from a meat background they have red meat in all the right places on their frame and with The Banksia Ram he has exceptional length to add a few chops to the carcass. Only the best Ram lambs will be available in this drop.

03.01.2022 This flock will be out on the paddock Tuesday. Really happy with the lambs that have hit the ground and with Ram orders in place already, we will need to look for some more Stud ewes this year for sure. We are getting excellent feedback from Customers and Agents that have seen these lambs and ewes. Exciting times ahead. Thank you to Ardess and Banksia for your help and support.

02.01.2022 FCF’s Multi Purpose, animal husbandry and genetic reproductive Center is in the last stages of planning for construction in 2021.
