23.01.2022 COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS AVAILABLE The AFL have advised AFL NEB that they would like to involve bushfire affected clubs/communities in the upcoming NAB AFLW/State of Origin Double Header for Bushfire Relief at Marvel Stadium on the 28th February 2020. This is an opportunity to recognise and acknowledge those from our football family that have been impacted and also those volunteers who have supported the firefighting efforts. It may also be an opportunity for affected comm...unities to have an escape from the devastation of the fires for a short period of time. If you are interested in going to this match and would like a complimentary ticket please comment on this post or contact Lou directly by Thursday 13th February. Transport will be available but you will need to arrange your own accommodation.

19.01.2022 UPDATE FOR COMMUNITY FOOTBALL On the back of todays State Government announcement around easing some restrictions, AFL Victorias position around training is ...that no sanctioned training should take place until further notice. AFL Victoria will seek clarity from the State Government around what todays announcement means for community football and be in contact in due course. A number of considerations around health and safety protocols and insurance need to be worked through prior to any training being sanctioned. AFL Victoria will provide a return to play protocol for community leagues and clubs once it is approved by the State Government. As soon as we have more information we will communicate the position.

09.01.2022 SEASON UPDATE As the situation with Covid-19 escalates please be advised that all trainings, meetings and club functions are on hold to adhere to the current national regulations. As it stands the Upper Murray Football Netball League will not get underway until after 31st May. As this situation is very fluid and changing rapidly we will continue to monitor the situation closely. The executive are being kept well informed by AFL North East Border and we will share important information with you as we receive it. 09.01.2022 Hi to all our FFNC people I have probably been a bit quite lately but have been busy with other stuff. Our new rooms have been more or less finished so l thought I would give you a bit of a tour. Apologies about the standard as the family told me it was pretty crap but hope you get the general idea. I think the end product is fantastic and a great asset to us in the future. I have know idea if we are going to get a start this year but I hope all players are keeping up some level of fitness in case we get a start and talking to coaches if not sure what to do. 06.01.2022 It was the decision by majority vote at Monday nights league meeting that the UMFNL continue for season 2021 & beyond. Whilst it was our preference to adopt the Working Parties proposal to amalgamate and join the Tallangatta Football & Netball leagues it is now more important than ever that the voices of our members are present at this years club AGM. Watch this space for further details regarding Feds AGM as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 restrictions / easing of said restrictions. We would also like to acknowledge the Working Party and the hard work that went into putting together the one vision proposal. Thank you all, the Federal FNC greatly appreciate your efforts.

There will be training for all grades of netball so it is a great opportunity to come have a try and see if you would like to play. 02.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT AFL PLAYERS First things first, tonights gala and tomorrows game day are still going ahead. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 (Coron...avirus) several AFL players are no longer able to attend. Although they would have loved to come and support the Upper Murray, the decisions have been made by the AFL and their respective clubs. The following players have been ruled out: Max Lynch, Jacob Koschitzke, Jack Zibell, Dalton Langlands, Kayne Turner Were in ongoing discussions with other players and clubs. ALL GAMES AND THE PRE-GAME CLINIC WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED. We decided to organise this event to help the Upper Murray recover from a devastating summer and while this is a setback, were confident we can still all pull together for a fantastic day and to raise much needed funds.
