"The beneficial amendments have extended the time frame, for ADF members transitioning to civilian life, to access their final DHOAS Subsidy Certificate from two to five years. STAMP DUTY RELIEF WELCOMED Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock has today welcomed the NSW Government’s announcement to provide stamp duty reli...ef for people who lost their homes during the bushfires and who choose to purchase a replacement home elsewhere rather than rebuild. Mrs Hancock said the stamp duty relief is part of the NSW Government’s unwavering commitment to do all it can to support people to get back on their feet and back into a new home faster. The last thing residents across the Shoalhaven need right now, particularly at Conjola Park, is more financial stress, which is why the Government is doing everything to ease any financial burden residents may face, Mrs Hancock said. People purchasing replacement homes will only begin paying stamp duty once the amount payable exceeds $55,000. Information on how to apply for a refund and eligibility requirements will be available from Service NSW and Revenue NSW websites from March 10. Eligible people who have already paid duty will be able to apply for a refund.

Four years later it's been a bumpy ride through a Royal Commission, bushfires and a pandemic but I'm forever grateful for the opportunities I've had. 16.01.2022 Are you intending on applying for the next round of First Home Loan Deposit Scheme (FHLDS) places being released on the 1st of July? You'll need to supply your 2020 Notice of Assessment! That means you will not be eligible until AFTER you have lodged your tax return and had your Notice of Assessment returned from the ATO. Have a chat with your bookkeeper and/or accountant about how to get organised so you can lodge quickly.

14.01.2022 Last week I was too busy dodging floodwaters in Byron Bay to remember it was Feel Good's 2nd Birthday! The sun shone for about 6 hours in the four days I was there, I'll take that as a celebratory moment - but I still want cake!

My family are some of the lucky ones, dear friends were not so fortunate. As we try and return to some kind of normal, my heart still breaks for those people who have been impacted and the local businesses who rely so heavily on this tourist season. 12.01.2022 If you are experiencing financial hardship and are considering accessing your bank's financial hardship package you can now rest assured that this will NOT negatively impact your Credit File. APRA have just released this statement advising that those who take the up to 6 month repayment holiday will not be treated as being in arrears. Please spread the word. If you need help, seek it immediately. Contact your bank's financial hardship team and discuss your situation and their support offering.

03.01.2022 The HomeBuilder package was announced today as a $25,000 tax-free grant for new homes built or substantial renovations. Plenty of terms and conditions apply and it will only run for 6 months. Good news: The HomeBuilder grant is available on top of any First Home Owner entitlements. 01.01.2022 Massive news overnight with the announcement of an additional 10,000 FHLDS places being released. Of course there's a catch - this round is for NEW homes only but the price caps are increased to factor the higher price point. We'll share more information as it's released.
