19.01.2022 Mum & Dad's 50th Anniversary

12.01.2022 This is a series of portraits and landscapes of my forbidden journey through Tibet. Crossing in from the Yunan Province and after having penetrated 500km of treacherous and mountainous terrain our journey was abruptly halted in Chudsegang County. After news spreading of foreigners being seen in the area we found ourselves in the custody of the Chinese authorities late at night in my hotel room. Although having all the correct documents and permits in hand, compulsory tour gu...ide and driver, we where bundled into our vehicle and escorted back to the border without any explanation and told we would be arrested if we were to return. Refusing to turn back we were smuggled through the dark of night on a 24hr drive deeper into Tibet. Crossing and evading checkpoints along the way, I documented our experiences through this forbidden land.
