23.01.2022 Confinement. Social distancing. It's been a difficult year for many. In some cases family and friends have been locked within their own thoughts,some in thei...r homes and others stranded in foreign countries. Most of all has been the difficulties experienced with social distancing wherever you have ventured. In this work all the above is attempted to be conveyed in a 3D felted work. The piece overall has attempted to indicated the separation from its origin by land, water and mountains. Hand made fabric and FELT beads.. socially distanced.... leading to the future above. Small felted balls encased by surrounding walls, a number of long hand made beads within their luxurious garden homes. Many French knots and hand embroidery. Throughout this year there has been time to reflect. This piece will be on exhibition and will be joined by works from Dorotea Hinrichsen, Lauree Brown, Roza Brinkworth, and Rita Summers at Gone Rustic Gallery &Studio.
