22.01.2022 :: HOW TO WELCOME WEALTH GOD :: Today is Day 5 of Chinese New Year and traditionally is the day that we welcome the 'Wealth God'. You can pay respect to the Wealth God at the temple and usually there are many celebrations in your local areas or China town. Given the current climate, it is equally auspicious to set up a ritual to do this at your home. ... Here is what to do: 1. First, you need either a painting or a statue of the Wealth God. In Chinese, we call it 'Cai Shen'. 2. Being a powerful symbols of wealth, you need to know where to place it so it is respected and can support you. You can also set up an alter to dedicate this space for the Wealth God. Choose the most auspicious part of your home, such as: - where the Wealth Star is located (this requires professional Feng Shui assessment in order to obtain) - In Compass school, Southeast sector represents the long term investment or accumulated wealth. - According to Ba Gua, the Gen Trigram is being represented by earth and mountain, symbolizing abundance and wealth. Therefore, it is also suitable to set up an alter for Wealth God, and this is the Northeast part of your home. - Regardless which sector you use, it should be facing the window or the main door. - it should never be set up in a position where it confronts you. For example, it’s never good to be face-to-face with Wealth God when having dinner at the dining table. The same can be said when they are placed on work desks directly facing you when you are working. Ideally they should be behind you or at the side so that they are supporting you with wealth energy. 3. Once the alter or the Wealth God is set up correctly, you can display some auspicious fruits such as apples, dragon fruit or oranges on a plate, 4 or 8 are good numbers.
