22.01.2022 HALO When I looked at this piece for a long time I noticed the layers of ink have formed gracefully around the blush colour in the centre, becoming a beautiful focal point. It really reminded me of a halo. Plus I also love Beyonce's song Halo, and recently found a Vance Joy cover which is amazing and I'm obsessed so the name sort of fell into place Prints are available at @artist_lane via link in my profile xo

20.01.2022 'Take me away' sold and off to a new home in Melbourne. Why is my head like this you ask yourself, the answer is I do not know. But it does fit nicely in the square An original from my mixed media on canvas collection 'Fragments'. Born from my personal experiences translated into a poetic story full of expression and movement on canvas. The gold represents hope, which I think we could all use a little of right now. 16.01.2022 Hello lots of new faces lately and I'm jumping on to say hello. I've put a link to a full studio interview I did with @artloversaustralia in my story, but here's a lil intro to say HI I have still not watched the whole interview after filming it as I can be pretty shy and don't like to hear my own voice back oopsy so when I film things I just press post and never look back . Heres a few lil things about me: I am a full time artist as of the start of 2020. This yea...r has been hectic in many ways as I'm sure it has been for almost everyone sending all my love across the world to you. I have been doing this lil biz thing for about 3 or 4 years. I've actually lost track..maybe longer I just love art, not only painting but collecting. My home is filled with art. Visitors always ask "did you paint all these" and normally I have maybe 1 of my paintings up on display, but the rest are all from artists across Australia and the world i love! I have 0 wall space left haha. I'm a true believer that a painting and/or artist will sing out to your soul and you'll just know its the one for you. You can't rush it, it sometimes is an instant knowing feeling and othertimes it takes time thats just my thoughts! Thanks for being here it truly means the world to me to have your support

10.01.2022 'A fine line' And isn't it such a fine line sometimes. I can be very indecisive about many things . This one is right in the middle, corner to corner. I don't often work so specifically in the middle but there is something I felt in the moment that was perfect about the composition of this one. This is a print on canvas or paper from @artist_lane
09.01.2022 I realised I forgot to update you all on MAJOR LIFE update hahaha classic me. So a few months ago now I finished up at a part-time job I worked at 3 days a week for 3 years while painting away on my two days off at home + weekends + nights + any spare moment I had. So since I finished up there I've been living my literal dream life of being a full-time artist I have to say I've never felt more myself . I'm loving this amazing opportunity and I am still adjusting( it's... a massive adjustment!), especially to working alone 24/7 which is not easy (lucky I've got my darling Goldie ) and I do have a strong love for graphic design too so maybe I will find another role in this, who knows . But for now, you'll find me ecstatically in/ lying on my studio floor 24/7 I couldn't think of any better accompanying photo than this . . 09.01.2022 GOLD IS LIFE new week and I'm gonna fill mine with a tonne of gold paint, not actual gold. Although if anyone is offering up some bullion I wouldn't say no and I do actually use a 24 karat gold leaf on my ltd edition prints because why wouldn't I give you the best x

09.01.2022 Okay okay time to reintroduce myself as I have not done so in quite the while. I'm Fern obviously I'm living in Melbourne, Australia with my lil dog Goldie as you can tell by his name and probably from seeing 90% of my artworks, I am obsessed with gold aside from being beautiful, for me the gold in my paintings actually represents a little thread of hope and light. A little sparkle to remind us there is always beauty and hope out there for us all if we take the time t...o look. . I studied graphic design at university. You will see I often use a lot of white space in my artworks which I would call the design influence in me. . I love rainbows (scroll for evidence of said love of rainbows from circa 1997) I dont paint them but have plenty of other artist work in my home who do. Speaking of i have a slight addiction to collecting art from lovely souls i have truly no bare walls left apparently got this from my mumma who is the exact same haha. . I have a few exciting things in store for the rest of 2020 that has me dancing around the house . I am grateful to have you following along my page I have been lucky to get to know a lot of you and one of my fave things is when people send me pics of their dogs it is truly a blessing to be able to paint full-time and share my art/work/life/process with you all. 05.01.2022 Today I painted 'This feeling's hard to ignore', she is bright and happy and filled with love and sunshine. I am now covered in red and orange ink on my legs and arms too so that is great... don't worry i wore gloves so at least my hands are clean It is almost complete, it will be done soon sending you sunshine today x 120 x 100cm
