22.01.2022 Hi to all Choir members and friends of Festival of 1000 Voices, I hope you all have a very happy Easter as we head towards this year's Festival in a month's time. I'm sure you may have noticed our Facebook messages have just begun. Having all our 'ducks' lined up has taken a while but we're there. Adam and Claire have chosen lovey music for the massed choir's and has been sent out. There are seven choirs attending as participating choirs this year! An excellent turnout for ou...r second FOTV. 11.01.2022 Our Sunday Concert (18th May at 2:30 pm )has three Featured Choirs but this post is about the wonderful a Capella group, The Velvetones. Led by Claire Patti Music (our Festival co-Conductor), this is an outstanding female quartet who sing like angels, have Jazz and Modern Vocal group influences, yet push the boundaries of vocal possibilities during their performances. The Velvetones offer an exciting addition to the broad palette of choral options available for emerging singing artists today. Come along and hear them for yourselves...
02.01.2022 Sam Mac doing the Sunrise weather from the top of the Sydney Habour Bridge this morning with the some of the Australian Girls Choir Alumni. Whilst we will never be able to scale the top of our Yarrawonga Mulwala Traffic Bridge, it would be amazing to have a thousand voices echoing melodies out to Lake Mulwala.
