25.01.2022 Miss Merley had her first session over the weekend and boy is she one smart cookie! Merley is going through her teenage phase of finding everything else more interesting on her walks than coming back to her mum when she calls. Merley already had some great foundation skills that we then built on in our session. While super active and smart dogs like Merley are quick to train it can also mean that they learn unwanted behaviours at lighting speeds too. These guys don't miss a beat and sure keep us on our toes!

25.01.2022 If you would like to learn more about Australias amazing dingos then please watch on. I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the talented director, producer and editor Lachlan Ryan and the equally talented director of photography Joel Famularo. I am really passionate about the conservation of our native apex predator who is often cast as a villain and a pest. However, the reality is quite the opposite. The absence of an apex predator in an environment has devastating effects. Dingos are the heroes that we need to keep our precious and unique eco system in balance.

25.01.2022 How cute is Oscar! This little guy had his first training session last week at only 10 weeks old. Such proactive pawrents wanted to start off on the right foot with raising their puppy. We love helping families during this critical time because the knowledge and skills that pup parents learn now will set them on the track to having a wonderfully harmonious relationship that will last for the rest of their lives together

25.01.2022 This little sweety had her first session this morning. Lily and her mum are a great team and are getting support for Lilys anxiety

24.01.2022 Scout is absolutely nailing the sad puppy dog face for a scene in Dog Date Afternoon! Scout can do this pose on cue but he has also been known to pull this out when trying to get extra treats from me... Does it work? Yes, yes it does I mean just look at that face #dogdateafternoon

24.01.2022 **Enrichment Ideas** Providing your dog or puppy with enrichment opportunities isnt only a fun and stimulating activity for them, adding enrichment to your dogs life also improves their psychological and physical wellbeing too! And not only is it good for their wellbeing it is also a great way to entertain your furry friend for when you need some quite time to get your work done or it can also double as a great positive distraction for when you have to leave the house. ... So instead of feeding your dog from their bowl why not spice up their dinner time routine and give it to them in the form of a fun enrichment game instead! 23.01.2022 A happy video to brighten up your day Crusey Bear loves a cuddle and is one of the sweetest and most gentle animals you could ever meet. While the other keepers and I were practicing social distancing yesterday, we can still cuddle our dingoes

23.01.2022 The gorgeous Billie was such a sweetie during our session yesterday Billie gets worried when she sees other dogs on lead so we are helping her build up her trust and confidence that her mum has everything under control. When helping dogs like Billie the goal is to change the way she thinks and feels about other dogs when she is on lead. You might think this involves lots of on leash interactions but its actually quite the opposite! We give Billie lots of space so she can feel safe and is able to learn because she isnt overwhelmed

22.01.2022 Has your dog not preformed a behaviour you think they know well and caught yourself saying something like but he knows how to do it! or he does it at home! then please watch on.. I caught myself saying this very thing tonight. Scout was slow to do a basic behaviour he has been doing for years and I got frustrated because he knows how to do it!. Well I had to remind myself that behaviour never lies and even experienced dogs need a refresher. Watch on to see a short training session I did to put value back into an old behaviour

22.01.2022 This handsome devil had his first session yesterday. We are building up his foundation skills so as we can tackle his reactivity with some dogs. A big part of helping dogs who are reactive is building up there confidence, foundation skills and their bond with their parents. Murphy did so well and is just the sweetest guy

But this cardboard box with groves has turned into the perfect bunny slow feeder bowl for his pellets Now Leo has to forage for his food which gives him mental and physical stimulation..it also makes for cute watching . . . .... 14.01.2022 Puppy dog eyes anyone! Beautiful Buddy was working his cuteness during our session today! Buddy was getting support for his barking at guests entering to the house and his barking at outside stimuli. Buddy had two very different reasons for barking therefore the approach for each reason was different too. Its really important to understand why your dogs are barking so as then a tailored best practice approach can be applied Nice work Buddy

09.01.2022 Force free grooming session featuring the adorable bunny Leo Leo is my current foster from the Rabbit Runaway Orphanage and is having a Christmas holiday with us. When he first arrived a week ago, Leo wasnt comfortable with me touching his back with my hand let alone with a brush. But through force free and choice based training Leo is a different bunny with me now and is much more confident. When he decides to move away from me I dont chase after him with the brush. The ...brushing is always on his terms and through this process he learns that brushing isnt scary and that he can trust me! This video shows the power of choice in training and its incredible power in building trust . . . . . . I will add a link to the Orphanage in the comments for anyone wanting to learn more about their wonderful work with Bunnies.

08.01.2022 Happy New Year I hope you all have a fun and safe New years And for those of us that have dogs who experience anxiety from fire works or those of you with pups experiencing it for the first time, remember that you cannot reinforce a fear state. Meaning that showing compassion to a scared animal or person does not make them more scared or more likely to be scared in the future because fear is not an attention seeking behaviour.. its fear. So go ahead and hug, pat, love, treat and play with your beautiful dogs who are showing anxiety or fear. Showing compassion and support when your beloved dog is scared will only help them cope I know Scout will be snuggled up to us getting lots of pats and treats to help him get through the fire works.

07.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone Thank you so much to all of you amazing people for supporting our mission in spreading the joy and friendship that comes with training our beloved fluffy friends with positive reinforcement. 04.01.2022 Thunderstorm tip If your dog becomes anxious during thunderstorms check out this video Remember an anxious or scared dog isnt a naughty dog and barking and other destructive behaviours are just their way of trying to cope with the situation. It is up to us to support them the best we can

03.01.2022 When you say the magic word! #treat

02.01.2022 Last week I delivered a class on positive reinforcement training for my training and assessment course. I got out Scouts ribbons to take a picture of them to demonstrate that not only is it the kindest approach but that it is also extremely effective. My main goal when we compete is to always have fun playing these games together. Anyone who has ever watched Scout will know that he has a big smile on the gorgeous face of his whenever we are out competing in agility or obedience. He is a champion regardless if he comes first or last in my eyes. And these ribbons are testament to what team work, practice, patience and making learning fun can achieve! I am so incredibly proud of this guy

02.01.2022 Happy 14th birthday Harry Harry is the sweetest most gentle old man who lives for cuddles and snacks He is celebrating his bday with us this year while his (our) parents are interstate.
