14.01.2022 Hello All Zebra Families, Please see below an update from the EFNL, but first a note from the committee: We are here to assist any families that are part of the Zebra’s Junior Football community, so if you need any assistance please reach out to the committee and we will do what we can through our football families to help, aid, assist as much as possible.... Stay isolated, have fun, stay fit and kick a footy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EFL update: The Victorian Government recently announced that the current State of Emergency and Stage 3 restrictions, which commenced on the 31st of March, have been extended until midnight May 11. That decision means there will be no change to the May 31 2020 season postponement date. This means that all club training, events, ground, and light usage remains suspended until further notice. The Metropolitan Leagues will continue to work with the AFL and await the outcome of Government’s decision on the 11th May, as to whether restrictions will be maintained, reduced, or lifted and/or whether any exemptions would be made for community sport. A half season commencing on the 13th of June or the 20th of June, should community football and netball be allowed to recommence, would be the most viable option for season 2020. The Eastern Football Netball League remain committed to the health and wellbeing of its players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and associated stakeholders and are steadfast about ensuring the long-term sustainability of all its clubs

13.01.2022 As President of the club I wanted to reach out personally to our Zebra families with an update. We know we are facing challenging times ahead but please remember there will be an end, and life will return to a level of normality, hopefully sooner rather than later. The friendships and connections we have formed within our club remain strong so let's make sure we stay in touch and look out for each other. To that end I would like to remind you of one of our Zebra key Values ...Community. If any family requires assistance please understand you can reach out to any of the committee and with the committees support we will do whatever we possibly can to support you and your family. Some examples could be meals, shopping, phone calls or Toilet paper if needs be. With all the boys and girls, please encourage them to get out and do some fitness and also kick a footy whenever possible. If anyone needs a football please let me know and we will organise it. Whilst we are all at home, we would love to see some pictures of the players in some kit, please port to our Facebook Page and best photo will win a prise at Season launch. The latest announcement is the postponement of the EFNL season until 31st May 2020. - John Andrews

07.01.2022 To all Zebras On the back of Monday’s State Government announcement around easing some restrictions the metropolitan leagues met with AFL Victoria today. The current position around training is that no sanctioned training should take place until return to training protocols are established, put in place, and accepted by leagues, clubs, and local council alike.... AFL Victoria is establishing these protocols and we hope to have these in the near future. Several considerations around health & safety protocols and insurance need to be worked through prior to training being sanctioned. We have also been advised that player transfers will be reopened soon, and we will provide an update on both items as soon as this information comes to hand. We thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we work through this most challenging period. Any questions can be referred directly to John Andrews 0477 300 083
