24.01.2022 Once you have chosen a character, all you need to do is take a photo of your pet and email or text it to me. A photo from your phone is fine but it must be very clear without shadow and be in the exact position you want the painting to be. This has proven to be easier said than done so taking a load of photos and choosing the most suitable is advised. Make sure you can see the eyes clearly and that fur is not covering them or they are not in the dark as the eyes really do make your pet come alive. Billie-Velvet here struck a great pose for Vermeer's painting, Girl with the Pearl Earring (see profile pic) but her eyes were unclear and I had to request a photo of her eyes up close.

If you have ideas of your own, please feel welcome to discuss these with me. Bronte here is a sweet-natured Pointer and Bruno the Schnauser is a fine old gent.

09.01.2022 DETAILS AND PRICING All paintings are done in acrylic on stretched canvas measuring 30cm x 40cm x 1.7cm which can either be framed or hung without framing as paint continues along the sides. This is the standard size that I keep in stock however, depending on availability other sizes can be negotiated. Paintings are finished with a gloss varnish to protect it and make the colours more vivid. You can choose between a high gloss, a pleasant sheen or a flat finish. Canvases come... ready to hang. Pricing on consultation as some requests may be more detailed and take more time than others. However, the average price of a single pet head and torso at this standard size is $260. If you prefer a portrait without any embellishment, approximately $170. All paintings require a $50 deposit.
