25.01.2022 Last night we attended another match to support the girls of Payatas FC . We met them earlier this year as part of a community soccer day on our sons football tour . Both myself and Nhan Ma (Tommy) got to see and experience where the money goes into the Wa community the other day . A lot of community programs rely heavily on community grants to continue their good work and lotterywest does give out a lot of those grants to our local community . ... We were treated by lotterywest and screenwest who produce western Australian films in our own backyard It was really nice to meet and see the director and producer of this movie Not to mention we were treated really well that evening I also enjoyed just meeting other business owners and the common theme was that a lot of them are struggling . Lots of these people have been in business for almost 20 years and lots of early hours. These are the Mom & pop stores ( sorry for the American ) . These businesses are owners who know your name and your childrens names and so on. They also know what smokes ,drinks or sweets you purchase . They are part of your community and get to see your kids grow up . Thats what I love the most about Fieldgate News & other small businesses .. its a family owned business and we get to be part of the community . You get to know our family and we get to know yours So if this is something you want to keep going in future .. connection .. family businesses Can I encourage you to stop by one of those stores and purchase something from them ?Every time you purchase something big or small .. you are supporting them to continue what they do . 06.01.2022 Hi Philly Peeps , Hope everyone had a great weekend, whatever that looks like for you ? My weekend included attending the PINK LYNX basketball game on Saturday night . It was a SPECIAL EVENT and close to our heart as it was raising money for BREAST CANCER in WA. Kristine is still FIGHTING her FIGHT and she hasnt given up .I think that this charity being local to Wa is fantastic . You get to see where a lot of the efforts and money goes into suppor...ting the Wa community with breast cancer . I encourage you to donate to BREAST CANCER CARE WA if you feel the urge to GIVE BACK and make a difference locally . Our family were happy to be part of the day and it was such a great game to watch . I dont know if it was because it was such a close intense game between the opponents or everyone there was super PUMPED for the PINK GAME BCCWA fundraising , the excitement and everyone cheering was AMAZING to see . When everyone was standing .. you could see a sea of people dressed in PINK for the CAUSE , made us feel like we were part of something BIGGER ~ There was definitely a FIGHTING SPIRIT in that stadium that night . We want to acknowledge all the people who have breast cancer , had breast cancer and to those who have LOST their LIVES to breast cancer .
