24.01.2022 SIGNING IN & HAND HYGIENE Everyone is doing a wonderful job adapting to the new norm when using the gym. Its really important that we are still booking eith...er your gym session or class using the Mindbody App. For not only our protection but yours too it is very important that you check yourself in using the iPad at reception upon arrival. Hand sanitise BEFORE checking yourself in - and then again AFTER as you head on into the gym area. This ensures we know exactly who has been through our doors and when. Keep doing your bit, use your towel, sanitise used equipment, practice social distancing at all times and remember hand hygiene. Its great to see so many happy faces every single day - lets try and keep it that way!

14.01.2022 5 HABITS TO HELP REACH YOUR GOALS FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR BED All the productivity hackers these days will tell you that you can get by on 6 hours a night or less but its time to get real. ... Studies have proven that the average person needs at LEAST 7 hours of sleep (that means actually sleeping, not tweeting or on the gram) every night. Athletes make sure they get the sleep they need to perform better, so why shouldnt you? START WEIGHT TRAINING Most people starting out on their fitness journey think they need to go hard on cardio and nothing else. While you can definitely make cardio one of your goals, youll do yourself a huge favour if you focus on weight training first. The reality is, the more muscle your body has, the more calories it burns even at rest! STICK TO A CONSISTENT ROUTINE Being consistent is crucial to making fitness a key part of your lifestyle. Instead of trying to cram what might be an unrealistic 7 workouts a week in to your schedule, figure out what works best for you and stick to it. FUEL YOUR BODY Nutrition advice is a dime a dozen, but all the experts agree that each of us needs an ample supply of protein, fresh greens, healthy carbs, water, and less junk food. TREAT YOURSELF Accomplishing your goals doesnt need to be miserable. If you make progress, reward yourself (preferably not with junk food)! At FIERCE FKN FITNESS we are proud to be standing with the whole Body Beyond Baby affiliate team to share this important message. This campaign began in 2019 to PUSH-BACK on the ‘get your pre-baby body back’ pressure mums feel and that the fitness industry often drives (even if we don’t realise it)... It’s about helping all women to truly understand that their worth is NOT wrapped up in the size of their body and that they do not need to strive and punish themselves to look a certain way. Our key focus for 2020 has been diversity and inclusion and we feel we have come a long way since last year HOWEVER we know not everyone that see’s our images will feel represented and so; once again we are asking for YOU to get involved and share YOUR #nomoreprebabybody message or story, to represent YOU and all women. So - now we are asking fellow mums to stand with us! To join our mission take a photograph of YOURSELF, alone, with your kids or friends wearing something that represents this message for you with the #nomoreprebabybody hashtag written on your, your clothing or the image. 12.01.2022 I had a fabulous start to the day with a 5k run topped off with a 22 minute core workout, So I thought Id share then fun I completed option 2, let me know in the comments how you go ... Title: HIIT Roller (core) Time: 22 Minutes Equipment: 1 Dice Roll a dice 7 times and list the 7 numbers on paper. The numbers correspond to the exercises below. Complete each exercise (on your paper) for 3 minutes at a ratio of 20 work, 10 rest. Use your interval timer. Option 1: Have a short break between exercises. Option 2: Complete the workout straight through (21 minutes). To achieve this, set your interval timer for 42 rounds of 20 seconds work, 10 rest. 1) Slow bicycles 2) V-Sit 3) Sit up twist 4) Plank ups 5) M-Climbers 6) Ankle Taps Optional Finisher: Complete 100 ninja knees on the left side, then 100 on the right side. Enjoy
