We have recently experienced a growth in business and an uptick in our deliveries for our party shop and as such we need our next team member. The role is varying and as such there are a number of boxes that needs to be ticked, the essentials are as listed below; What the job will en...tail, these are the regular tasks and it is not a comprehensive list - You will be in charge of driving our goods and deliveries to the customers residence or commercial address where applicable - Assist in the customers installation of items such as balloon garlands, back drops and so much more - Assist in the shop with customer enquiries, prepare orders for customers, help maintain a tidy work place - Shelving stock which has arrived during the week - Assist in the check out process, using the POS system and assisting the customers to their vehicles as required - Must haves; o Drivers license or the right to drive in Australia (car is not a necessity) o Confident in being able to lift heavy items, carry awkward items and be physically able to do so on your own (some items may weigh over 6 kgs and are over 1m in length, most items are more awkward rather than heavy) o Be living within a 10km radius of our business here in Newport o Be available to work weekends especially Saturday is an absolute must o Must be proficient in the English language and be able to understand our customer base o Customer service and sales is a must in this role as you will be assisting and engaging the customers to help sell and up-sell We are on the look-out for that special someone who can possess the following attributes; - Are a team player and do not mind doing little tasks as they arise throughout the day - Is a confident individual and does not mind speaking with customers, going into the customers house (when covid-19 restrictions allow us) and having customers tell them what they want and being able to interpret how they want their installations and deliveries - Be a confident driver and be able to drive a comfortable work van without the use of your rear view, inside mirror (the balloons normally cover the inside of the van) - A knowledge of the local area is handy but not essential - A GPS can be arranged for your work and deliveries to be carried out - A knowledge in the event industry or have worked in a party atmosphere will be advantages but not necessary Full training will be provided and a healthy hourly wage will be awarded, payment made to you at the end of each week.
