23.01.2022 G’day Darwin, Australia! A team of our airmen and women are currently deployed at Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin for a two-month detachment. In the comi...ng days, the RSAF will be conducting realistic and high-end training to sharpen our edge and hone our operational responses. The aircraft involved in the detachment are our F-15SGs, A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport, and G550 Airborne Early Warning aircraft. During the detachment, the RSAF will implement strict safety precautions such as pre- and post-deployment isolation and swab tests, and will ensure that our personnel also abide by Australia’s health and safety measures to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Over the years, we have continued to utilise the southern range as a primary training area for honing the skills of aircrew flying numerous military aircraft, including the Bristol Beaufighter, Canberra Bomber, F-4E Phantom, F-111C, F/A-18F Super Hornet and, most recently, the F-35A Lightning II. #AusAirForce
