13.01.2022 Congratulations to Hiromu Inada, 85, for becoming the oldest finisher ever at the Kona Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Competitors must finish in under 1...7 hours. Inada crossed the finish line in 16:53:50. He didn't pick up the sport until he was 69. German Patrick Lange was the overall winner becoming the first athlete to break 8 hours finishing in 7:52:39. Swiss athlete Daniela Ryf won her 4th straight women's title shattering her own course record by more than 20 minutes, finishing in 8:26:16.
