18.01.2022 Over two years ago I had the idea that I wanted to help get organic fruit and veg into people’s homes and I wanted to make it as easy as possible for our customers. Through our own families experience of helping to relieve our sons auto-immune symptoms with a low-tox lifestyle I felt so strongly that local organic produce should be both affordable and easily accessible. When I decided that a doorstep delivery service would be the best way to do this I came up with the name G...irl Friday. The aim was to be the girl who makes your life easier, the girl you can rely on, the girl who when you need a bit of extra help she’s there! Consequently it just worked out that we would deliver on Friday! Ha!! The definition of a Girl Friday encompasses what we do. We’re not super fancy, we’re not a big corporation, we’re just a small family run business that feels so strongly that organic produce is where it’s at and we want to make your life easier by delivering it to your door without much fanfare. You can rely on us to be your Girl Friday See more

04.01.2022 Every Sunday when I send out our invoices I pop a little message in to talk about anything upcoming with Girl Friday, sometimes a recipe and always a little anecdote from our weekend. However, this week I’ve had a moment and sent out all of the invoices with last weeks message still attached. Perhaps my brain is telling me to have a day off (I can’t remember what that feels like!). Any who, sorry for the confusion for anyone receiving an invoice this morning - I know how much you’ll miss my weekly ramblings . Sorry again. Sending you lots of love on your Sunday

03.01.2022 Did you know that as well as fruit and veg, we also stock a great range of pantry staples such as free range eggs from Tembys Farm located in Norton Summit! We offer two sizes: 600g new layer eggs for $4.50/dozen and 800g eggs for $7.20/dozen. If you check out the last photo the 600g egg is on the far left while the 800g egg is second from the right. Get a carton of these delivered with some @uraidlabakery bread and your produce and your weekend breakfast is sorted!

03.01.2022 Loving the @uraidlabakery pizza dough that is available to add to your boxes. We love getting it on a Friday and knowing there is a quick and easy dinner after a long week. It comes in 500g bags ($4.50) and we get two to feed our family of 6

03.01.2022 When you eat a fruit or vegetable, do you consider the nutrient density in it? Did you know that multiple studies have found that the conventional fruits and veg we eat today have considerably less nutrients, like protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, B vitamins and vitamin C than half a century ago. Why? Mostly because of the depletion in soil nutrients due to conventional farming practices. This broadbean seed I (belatedly) planted last week is a life force and it is going t...o soak up all of the vitamins and minerals we have prepped our soil with. When I finally harvest and eat the broadbean grown from this seed, all of those nutrients are going to be absorbed in my body. When we plant crops in already nutritionally depleted soil due to mono crops, pesticides, fungicides etc, there isn’t going to be as much nutrients in the produce. Luckily for us, organic farmers spend a huge amount of time and energy maintaining soil health because they know it’s going to lead to a tastier, nutrient dense and vibrant crop All of our farmers do an incredible job and it’s always going to be more nutritious eating a conventional potato than a bag of chips, but if you can swap conventional to organic, even if you just choose one fruit or veg to start with (try looking at the dirty dozen), you won’t look back and your body will sing! See more

02.01.2022 I hope you’re having a beautiful day. I’m trying to weed the garden but finding myself just wandering around looking at the beautiful spring blossoms

If you’d like it just pop through a message with your delivery address and it will be all yours... it’s a pretty good one if I do say so myself!
