11.01.2022 This picture-book was the product of collaboration between @twinniesbrand and Fiji Book Drive. It is set in a village in Kadavu and shows the daily life and experiences of Fijian island kids. The characters are iTaukei characters (Indigenous Fijian) and are shown to be doing activities that are Fiji specific. There are further activities in the back of the book. To help us print more books that are Fiji-specific, we’d love your help. Each book costs $16 to print and we need them done in bulk amounts. 11.01.2022 Fiona, Joshua James, Claudia Calvert and the newest member of our Fiji Book Drive team, Ruby Koco, strategising today. Ruby is the Junior Art Director at the JKLP group and is helping Fiji Book Drive with marketing. This meeting was organised by the CEO of Jackalope Mornington Peninsula, Emily Makiv. Emily has been offering advice to FBD and loves Fiji and books. She is also a new, and very welcome, member of the FBD family.

10.01.2022 Fiona, Clementine and @tamani.lavenia on their way to Bulou Dolele Memorial School, Kadavu. The boat driver used the long pole to push the boat through the shallow water till it was deep enough to use the engine. The mangroves have a fecund smell and it feels like an Indiana Jones movie.
