We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles for a twisted dark comedy short film about dating "The Beautiful People" and biological-assimilation: Male Lead - ALEC ... Very well presented. Aged 25-35. Female Lead - KATE Very well presented. Aged 25-35. Male Voice Artist - NARRATOR Able to pull off a deep American accent. The kind you might hear in an old 1930s-1950s era instructional film. We are looking to shoot the leads in June on a 'first date' at a restaurant in Adelaide city. 13.01.2022 Last night at Serafino Wines in McLaren Vale the Fleurieu Film Festival screened 14 wonderful finalist film to a large crowd. Assimilation was one of those film...s. Having our film screened in front of so many people was reward enough itself. After this screening Assimilation producer, director, and writer, Russell Jenkins, won the Best Film Script award. This win is a win for the whole Assimilation team and we thank everyone of our supporters. This includes our cast and crew who worked for free despite most of them putting in two full nights, 5pm - 4am, in a cold Port Adelaide restaurant, to capture those fantastic performances. From here there are a number of other festivals we have entered over the coming year of which you will all be updated. Thank you to Fleurieu Film Festival and Carolyn Corkindale for a wonderful event, Mercury CX and CEO Karena Slaninka, and Wallis Cinemas for our award and prize, Channel 44 Adelaide, and to Serafino Wines for keeping us and the crowd warm (Russell can't praise their 2018 Shiraz enough!). ------------------------------------ #AssimilationFilm #FleurieuFilmFestival #FilmAustralis
