24.01.2022 We're still Filter Store but we're also one component part of a shop and studio in adelaide that opens next thursday (at this time minus 6 minutes from time of writing) called A flat shop. As the name may indicate it is a flat of sorts but also a shop of sorts, and it will sell a range of new and second hand clothes (that's where we come in), flatwares, books (that's also where we come in), and other objects (at this stage that's not where we come in but it might be in future... who knows). To mark its opening A flat shop has asked 30ish participants to contribute to a group exhibition about clothes hangers called 'hangers', and if that sounds at all interesting to you then please come for a look. Filter Store will be contributing several hangers by companies whose clothes we stock. Drinks will be provided on the night by The Sparkke Change Beverage Company. See more

18.01.2022 We are selling some things as part of the Cloister Workrooms closing sale THIS SATURDAY ONLY. In addition to what you might normally expect to find us selling (gabardine, coats, gabardine coats) there will be a selection of very worn oilskins from Texas, some vintage French and Belgian workwear, and a couple of lab coats. We're also joined by several local artists, designers, and sellers, such as Markt van Hamburg, PONY, and Saskia Scott. There's also a cafe called Augnablik immediately below where the sale is happening and they make food and coffee and juice and even conversation.

14.01.2022 Last week we spoke to Sharmonie Cockayne from Citymag about our Temporary Retail Environment with Claire Inc. that starts this Wednesday and this week the TRE is listed under Citymag's "What's On" section. So if you're wondering what's on this week in Adelaide, according to Citymag one of the things what's on is our TRE in addition to a number of other interesting things what are on. 09.01.2022 We're helping put this on at Cloister Workrooms tomorrow night. As you may notice from the title of the event if you happen to read the title of the event, we are referring to it a listening party and indeed it will involve listening to music (in CD form) produced for Comme des Garcons runway presentations by Seigen Ono. But mostly it will involve sitting around in the Workrooms and having some chat and a little snack and a bit of drink and if this is something you feel like doing tomorrow night and you happen to be in Adelaide then please come by around 6pm.

04.01.2022 some people we know (sofia and tom) are screening some films you might find interesting (get rid of yourself and prénom: carmen) at a venue we like (format system's inc) tomorrow night. so if you are in adelaide or decide it's worth a flight over from wherever else you are and you are free tomorrow night and you do think you might find one or the other or both of them interesting then you should come and watch one or the other or both of them. we think we will find both of them interesting so accordingly will go and watch both of them.

02.01.2022 Starting next friday (June 7) and running for four fridays from then (until June 28) we'll have our full selection of clothes out and available for the first time, at A flat shop, and we're really looking forward to it. Over that period we'll also be photographing each garment for sale on our website, and when each piece is listed online it'll be packed away and no longer available in store. That's why the event is called 'a flat shop presents Filter Store: get it while you can"'.
