25.01.2022 RBA cuts its cash rate to 0.10% today.

23.01.2022 NSW government has proposed to scrap the stamp duty on property transfer to reduce the upfront costs for buyers and remove "one of the biggest financial barrier...s to home ownership". For an average home in NSW, the stamp duty will cost you $34,000, and the banks won't lend it to you, so you need to cover it from your own savings. Scrapping stamp duty sounds like a great idea for home buyers, but not for everyone.
