24.01.2022 You might not be able to travel to Margaret River at the moment but you can still buy an artwork from one of the regions’ talented artists @kay.p.gibson. Kay is a painter and printmaker with a passionate interest in the natural environment. Her practice is reflective of her life in Margaret River, and while producing her own art she teaches printmaking, sculpture and drawing at the Margaret River Campus of TAFE. Kay contributes to the artistic life of the area by her own wo...rk, teaching and as a volunteer with Arts Margaret River, Margaret River Open Studios and the Arts Advisory Committee for the Augusta Margaret River Shire. 17.01.2022 It’s our last two days of sales and we’ve still got a few artists to introduce. 2020 Artist in Residence, Tony Windberg created this artwork prior, during and as a response to his time at Perth College. It reflects his interest in the nature of time and its effect in shaping natural forms such as rocks. By echoing the weathering process through a range of techniques using paint and other materials such as earth pigments, Tony allows the artwork to speak from the beginning wit...h detail and control coming later; definition responds to suggestion. 15.01.2022 Naomi is a multi-award winning contemporary Indigenous Australian artist a descendant of the Wiradjuri people of central New South Wales. She was born in Sydney but made her home in Perth where she has lived for the last 41 years. Naomi has had a successful career as a practicing artist and designer for 38 years, and in the last 20 years her focus has been on acrylics and collage. She loves discovering new mediums and different techniques to work with. Her favourite medium is acrylic.
