11.01.2022 Old Tasmanian Hotel, Fingal - Officially Opened On Thursday15 April, Senator Claire Chandler and Mayor Mick Tucker officially opened the renovated and restored ...Old Tasmanian Hotel in the heart of Fingal. This project has been years in the making and is one that Council is really proud to have been able to deliver to the Valley Community. The building now houses the Fingal Valley Neighbourhood House, Valley Voice newspaper, Online Access Centre and will house a range of services. The restoration project was a massive undertaking that would not have been possible without $500,000 from the Australian Government's Community Development Grant as well as $210,000 through the Drought Community Program, Council also contributed $135,000. The new restoration includes downstairs, rear courtyard, a complete makeover of the upstairs as well as inclusion of a lift for disability access. If you are in the area drop in to the Hotel where you can not only see the new renovation but can find out the history of the building.
