19.01.2022 Although the Summer weather has been holding on with great determination, we decided enough was enough. We started our Autumn explorations with a shower of Autumn leaves across our room. The children loved sweeping the leaves into piles, throwing them up into the air, then twirling about as each leaf fluttered gently back to the ground. The rich shades of autumn leaves inspired much of our art this week as well.

18.01.2022 Welcome to our Winter Wonderland This week we shared the story of Jack Frost and the Babies’ Blanket. A beautiful Winter story which tells of Mother Earth and King Winter working together to keep all of Mother Earth’s animals warm. We also made our own Crystal Snowflakes and Sparkling Icicles and finished off our week with a Snow Ball fight, it was a lot of fun

18.01.2022 Well done Mothers of today's world!

17.01.2022 With the cold of Winter upon us, our conversations have had an underlying tone of warmth and comfort foods. Inspired by this and wanting to fuel our bodies from within we snuggled up close around our wooden table. We took turns to add to our porridge pot, singing and smelling the warming ingredients of cinnamon and honey as we went along. With tiny tummies warm and full we were ready to play To inquire about coming to visit us for a little look around and a play, please phone or text Bec on 0417 751 330

16.01.2022 Please pack clothes for all occasions as nothing will stop us from play (except may be thunder, lightning or heavy rain).

14.01.2022 Earth School Opening!!! We set off on our very first Bush Adventure with great excitement. Our journey took us across wooden bridges, down rocky steps, around trees and feathery, green moss, under logs and into the creek. We listened to the babbling of the cascading water, the calls of the birds and the gentle rustle of the Autumn breeze through the trees. We all agreed it was a magical place and we can’t wait to come back again next week

13.01.2022 So important our children know this!

09.01.2022 Recycling and conservation gave us our focus this week. We found that our beautiful backyard had been strewn with an assortment of rubbish. We set about collecting all of the rubbish, we then had to sort our rubbish at our pop-up Recycling Station. We sorted our rubbish into categories of items which should be reduced, reused or recycled. We even discovered that we could reuse some of the rubbish to create wonderful art pieces

08.01.2022 We are big advocates for play! Last week we decided not to have "set up" activities so that we could enjoy BEING with the children rather than DOING. It was their ideas, their lead and their play that was respected!

06.01.2022 So lucky we are to have the most beautiful secret garden at our front door step If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the Earth before we ask them to save it. The more slowly a tree grows, the stronger it is at it’s core. David Sobel If you’d like to pop in for a little look around and a play please call or text Bec on 0417 751 330

04.01.2022 Our Puppet Theatre provided the perfect opportunity for our Children to develop a range of skills. From vocabulary development, understanding grammar and syntax, retelling a known story and creating something new using the language of story telling, our Puppet Play was the perfect stage for supporting the children’s oral language development. We also put our creativity and fine motor skills to the test when making and using our different types of puppets

01.01.2022 In keeping with our Autumn Harvest theme, this week’s inspiration was the story of The Little Red Hen. We enjoyed grinding our seeds into flour, rolling and needing our dough to create a variety of breads, muffins and buns, and then selling our baked goods from our Bakery front. And of course, our week couldn’t go by without some traditional bread making. Warm, crusty bread topped with butter and honey, Yummmm
