14.01.2022 Information Thursday Do you know what a flexitarian is ? The word flexitarian, first coined in the early nineties, is a blend of the adjective flexible and the noun/adjective vegetarian. The term incorporates the idea of a flexible approach to eating, with no rigid rules about the non-consumption of meat products.... Nowadays Flexitarianism or ‘casual vegetarianism’ is becoming increasingly popular,a plant-based diet that claims to reduce your carbon footprint and improve your health with an eating regime that’s mostly vegetarian yet still allows for the occasional meat dish. The rise of the flexitarian diet is a result of people taking a more environmentally sustainable approach to what they eat by reducing their meat consumption in exchange for alternative protein sources!! It maybe interesting to see local restaurants use the word and offer a flexitarian section and list of choices on their menu's !! See more

08.01.2022 Information Thursday- Did you know that the most expensive cheese in the world is produced from DONKEY'S milk?!!!! It is called PULE... Country of Origin: Serbia Cost: $600 per kilogram Pule is reportedly the "world's most expensive cheese", fetching US$600 per kilogram. It is so expensive because of its rarity: there are only about 100 jennies in the landrace of Balkan donkeys that are milked for Pule-making and it takes 25 litres (6.6 gallons) of milk to create one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of cheese. The cheese made out of this milk is then smoked to add to its unique flavor that makes it superior to the other varieties. Cleopatra was said to bathe in milk to keep her skin soft and beautiful. ... Legend has it that she required 700 lactating donkeys in order to supply the milk for her daily bathing regime. Expensive tastes!!!!
