25.01.2022 Music at Firbank is back! Last night Twilight Jazz launched the music year and what a sensational concert parents and friends were treated to. It was so good to see our Firbank girls perform various ensembles and see the smiles of students, staff, and parents. The Bands and Choirs also delighted the audience with their outstanding performances. Thank you to all the parents and staff that helped make this magical night happen. Stay tuned for more music to come! #KnowValueCare ... #AspirationalCultureOfLearning #2021YearOfLivingCuriously #EvidencedBasedQualityTeachingPractices #PositiveClassroomCulture #FirbankGrammarSchool #MusicAtFirbank #TwilightJazz See more

21.01.2022 Our Year 9 Journey Expedition is well underway. Four groups have arrived so far with the last 2 groups arriving today. 9M/9N had a very windy and wet first night and 9P/9Q had a wet and windy first days walking. The weather has improved and all groups will have superb day either cycling or walking today. All of the students have embraced this amazing opportunity to be out of their ‘isolation bubble’ and to be in the bush again. #FirbankGrammarSchool #KnowValueCare #Year9Journey #FirbankOutdoorEducation

12.01.2022 Firbank Grammar are very proud to be the first school in the world to trial the Contact Harald tracing system. Our Year 10 girls were thrilled to be a part of the trial which uses blue tooth signals to tracks your location which is different to most tracing aps. Click below to view some of our Year 10 students alongside Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School, Mrs Leandra Turner on Channel 10 news last week. #FirbankGrammarSchool #KnowValueCare #HaraldContactTracing https://vimeo.com/485256537

10.01.2022 Today was a fun day for the boys and girls at Sandringham Campus. It was Step Up day where the students met their class and teacher for 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the boys and girls missed out on the annual Kids Night event so instead a mini carnival was set up as well today with games and an inflatable slide. #FirbankGrammarSchool #FirbankSandringhamCampus #FirbankCoedCampus #StepUpDay #KnowValueCare

08.01.2022 After 10 weeks of online and face-to-face learning, the Year 6 boys and girls at our Sandringham Campus presented their Exhibition to the Firbank and wider communities. The Transdisciplinary theme of ‘How the world works’ focused on using Science to find solutions to global problems. Students inquired into their area of interest, asking and answering conceptual questions they had devised. Congratulations to all students involved for their incredibly hard work throughout the inquiry process. The success of the day was an absolute credit to their efforts. #FirbankGrammarSchool #FirbankSandringhamCampus #FirbankCoedCampus #KnowValueCare #PYPExhibition

04.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day. The day that the guns fell silent at the end of World War 1. Initially people stopped at 11.00 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month to remember the generation of young people who died in that conflict. Since then there have been more wars and more deaths and Remembrance Day has become more than just a reminder of a time when the guns stopped firing. This year is the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2. This along with the global pandemic, reminds us that we need to do more to create a peaceful world where people can work together for the betterment of all. #FirbankGrammarSchool #KnowValueCare #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget
